I can't either, though everything else, including his effort against Holy, puts him just behind Tyson at #11 for me. I can't quite put George under Bowe (though I'm a big fan of prime Riddick). The wins over Frazier, Norton, the heart he showed against Lyle, Holy...

Bowe was mostly about beating a prime and just-past-prime Holy (though his wins over Hide and Rodriquez weren't exactly a joke, either). Even if we just go by paper, Bowe decisively beat Holy twice...first time when Holy was indisputably in his prime (and off-paper, Bowe won that second fight by two points on my card, was surprised the judges didn't give him the champion's benefit of a doubt).

We have to add that Foreman defended the lineal title, but did so very very close.

I also think that many overrate him H2H due to winning this bout in 94 with one shot. Without that accomplishment, many would prob. evaluate his chances more from the Cooney, Stewart and Morrison fights.

Its a normal question, and quoted by some, a very good question.
So is it reading, or a mental issue of yours?

Pretty obvious you haven't been here long. Try reading @GOAT Primo Carnera's posts a little more carefully. Without meaning any disrespect, he's contributed more insightful posts than you have on this and many other subjects (long before you were here).

Again, no offense, but you're unthinkingly criticizing a valued member here who's contributed a lot.

    Thanks.

@Charlietf If you want to meet a fellow who arguably "doesn´t like" BGF, check here https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/another-angle-re-big-george-f.635429/#post-20029778 or here https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/who-goes-40-0-37-the-way-foreman-did.635404/
And then check who defended GF on many occasions debating with him. And if someone brings Ward etc. against Rocky, I will defend him too!

Btw, this is a very good post.

Fair enough GOAT but did you watch it at the time ? Tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. Nothing but sport can do this.

Just from the 70,s he was top 10 for me. But if you look back over his career. Something like 80 fights. 76 knockout wins. World champion in the 70,s and then the 90,s at 45 years old. Way out of shape. Taking holyfield to points and beating moorer. Hes as high as 3rd or 4th of alltime for me. He pretty much single handidly proved the 70,s we,re a much higher standard than the 90,s. Unbelievable when you think about it. If it wasn,t for ali...he would have took some stopping.

Really? I was around this forum since the year 2010 with a different alias. but even if I were new that is irrelevant. Being a veteran in a forum does not exempt you from receiving ratings for your comments

That is true, Charlie. I didn't mean to come down on you, man. Sorry if it came across that way. It's just that you're a new name, and GOAT Primo has made a lot of good posts under his name.
