Stiffer jab, throw jab more, upercuts, body shots, body shots, body shots and hope Usyks age catches up with him. Fury deserves a rematch and I'm sure Usyk will give it to him.

I never said that. I said on here at the time it was 5-3 Usyk after 8. A time when most and certainly tele thought Fury was running away with it. I think he was going to get him out of there later though. I genuinely think that’s how important that shot was.

I actually thought fury did well to match his crazy pace for the majority of the fight and was breaking him down. Visibly slowed after the seventh this was detrimental for me and stopped using the jab. Neglected his defenses as well.

After the sixth I expected him to turn the screw but he slowed down massively or became complacent and failed to do so. To be hurt so much was incredibly concerning on the punch resistance but he did say lighter punchers seem to be his Kryptonite hahaha.

Fury generally has his opponent figured out by the time a rematch comes around but going on 36 can he do it once more time.If it happens that is.

he still looked fairly fresh to me, but too safe and got complacement. By the way, and I know this was spoken about years ago by Davison in some capacity, but Fury has some really stupid habits that he hasn't been able to shake off. Every time he's boxing he is rubbing his nose or face in some way with the glove, and he is sometimes doing this when the opponent is about to load up on a punch. Usyk was closing the distance and Fury was rubbing his face, and obviously this was made worse by the bleeding where he simply couldn't ignore it.

Maybe it was complacency but it looked like he was slowing down you could see it when he was sat in the corner. This was the real turning point for me. Usyks strategy was I'm going to keep walking through hell to win this. His will was immense.

Goes two ways now either calls it quits or has another crack in October.

Jab and move. Like he was doing but has to improve controlling the range. Usyk was brilliant at finding the left hand in close. Fury needs to work on blocking that shot and coming up with a counter.
Has to be more aware defensively. His hand speed is slower than Usyks so he can't get greedy in hooking range. That's where he unravelled in round 8 for me.
Keep going to the body. They were having an effect Usyk didn't like them and started complaining and trying to get some called low. Keep at it. The uppercut and body attack work well together and he can mis direct his opponent with them but after taking a massive left hook in the 8th he got away from it and Usyk was able to regroup and find top gear again.
He needs a straight right every now and again. When he had Usyk hurt mid rounds he just jabbed at him - put some power behind a straight right it should keep Usyk at range but there's a chance of doing more damage.

As good as Usyk was, those middle rounds will give Fury hope. If the first couple were swing rounds - the middle rounds were Furys and give him the 12 and the cards are very close KD aside.

That said Usyk's recovery, movement, skill and power are there for all to see keeping him stationary for 12 rounds is a big ask.
Fury will be kicking himself for not jumping on him after that big uppercut.

As well as he was doing 4-7 i don't think thats the way he should go for most part in second fight. Boxing off back foot like that more or less pot shotting is inviting usyks relentlessness and letting him build up momentum, and like you say he couldnt maintain it and theres a reason for that, fighting off the back foot against relentless pressure is darining. I think his bet bet is to go on front foot and make it ugly personally as think thats less draining for fury over 12 rnds and pushing usyk back

I've noticed this ridiculous narrative being spun but it mostly seems like the matchroom FC brigade who are just gutted that Fury didn't get schooled in the same way Joshua did.

Usyk was getting outboxed and hurt in those middle rounds in a way we've never seen before but as is always the case with him, no one can keep up the pace when he puts his foot down in the later rounds. I personally can't see Fury winning the rematch, I think Usyk is just that good, but the idea that it was anything other than a tough, close fight and wouldn't be again is clearly stupid.

It's one thing to spend a year or so with the focus on losing a lot of weight which, let's face it, when you balloon like he did it's not exactly hard to shift the first few stones. It's another completely different thing to spend months purely focusing on how to beat the man that just beat you, to figure out how to beat a man that's probably already thinking about the little improvement he can make to ensure that's he's harder to beat if the rematch happens. Fury, at this stage, doesn't strike me as a man able to properly focus and knuckle down for a period of time, he's a big kid with an ageing body, he's like some form of Benjamin Button. There's still huge fights out there for him besides Usyk but he's an idiot so he'll waste time, valuable time, and I expect this will probably be it now, unless his real life Rocky mentality kicks in like it did 9 years ago. This version of Usyk is harder to beat than that version of Vlad though and by the time they fight again ten years would have nearly passed.

I must be mad I had fury up 5-1 or 4-2 after 6. Some people online think Usyk won this fight by complete dominance.

Fury was hurt in that 9th due to exhaustion hence the punches having much more of an effect. He can win a rematch if he quits the cringey showboating and goes for the kill, fight him don’t try to box him. Nobody stops Usyk once he’s in a rhythm.

Usyk was hurt in those middle rounds too, body shots were really slowing him down he was biting down on his gum shield and fury was toying with him for a couple of rounds.

Usyk can be beaten but it’s going to take great flawless performance to do it.
