Hatton's is all blubber as as a result any sort of dietary clean up with daily training soon has the fat falling off quite easily
He made the same claims last week on Talk Sport (or week before). He then went on to say he was going to bulk up properly so he does not lose his speed etc at HW.
Maybe he's a bit of a drama queen? Before the Enzo fight he was saying he was so drained he might die in the ring...
To be fair, dehydrated/weight drained fighters are susceptible to serious head injuries in the ring. Haye was playing with fire staying at CW.
Did anyone see Fatton on the F-word last night? He was taking advice from Gordon Ramsay on how to eat more heathily - probably a case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted
That said, you could probably make a case to say that Hatton still eats & lives a lot more healthy than the average man overall.
I agree but to say you are that weight drained you might die? At the same weight you'd made 3 months before and throughout your career?
Aye But when he retires we'll not be arguing about who made the most money betwen Hatton and Naz It'll be who put the most weight on, fastest Maybe Hatton will be an addicted yo-yo dieter his whole life though
Whilst there's no doubt he does eat too many pies in between fights, I was reading an interview with Hatton a while back where he said he usually comes to the ring about 156, and is still cut as hell. I doubt he'd look fat at 168. So whilst a lot of it is just cutting out the lifestyle, there's more too it than that. It is interesting how he never seems to struggle.
The American Council on Exercise gives these figures: 2–5% Essential fat (i.e Haye=dead if 0%) 6–13% Athletes 14–17% Fitness 18–25% Acceptable 25%+ Obese I personally think they are a bit too high, but that's just my uniformed opinion based on nothing more than the fact that I'm a naturally skinny bugger. I'm not a professional athlete but my % was between 6 and 8 a few years back, it's probably around 10-12 now. I reckon Haye probably meant zero body fat above the essential (so ~5%).
I think the reason why he makes weight so easily is because the excess is just blubber, beer, pies, doner meat pizzas et al. A strict exercise regime, and a reasonable diet would cause the average person to lose about a stone and half - so someone on a strict diet as well could drop two stone without much grief.
Hattons follows kerry kays on the weight loss side of things he was a good bodybuilder in his days. I would have to say body builders are the true experts in cutting weight with out losing to much muscle.
