Wlad's lateral movement, his footwork and even his head movement
have improved markedly under Manny's brilliant tutleidge. Hell even
Lennox Lewis regularly praises Wlad's evasive footwork and got
critical of Wlad during the Austin fight for reverting back to a
stalking approach to his fight which is dangerous but can pay
big dividends as it did when Wlad flattened Austin with left hooks.
Don't blame the teacher if his arrogant punk-ass fighters like Andy
Lee or Jermaine Taylor haven't the brains or discipline to follow
    instructions.

Considering most press had him winning 114-113, and he was landing the harder and cleaner punches, whereas Calzaghe was throwing amateurish slaps that were ineffective overall, it's easy to see why he thought he won.

ON TOP OF THAT, he was unscathed after the fight and didn't get planted on his ass.

    And Pavlik...

Calzaghe beat Hopkins convincingly, something Taylor failed to do in two bouts.

Why not? If Calzaghe is now fading, according to some of his fans, there's a possibility that those young fighters stand a good chance.

Ray Austin is your example of Wlad's defensive strengths???

    Your serious.....:huh

Ok....then.... This is what I need you to do after reading this post.

Turn your computer off....reach around the backside of it...yank out the power cord (no need to really do it safely)....pick the cpu up off the milk crate your using....and throw it out the window.

    Thank you and goodbye.

    :hi:

No he didn't. If anything this was most controversial. At least Taylor landed some clean punches, wheras Calzaghe landed ineffective flurries that did NO damage, and he got dropped.

Face it chaps, Calzaghe got the best of a scrappy difficult encounter. Was Joe in any real trouble after the first round? No. Did joe maintain a dominance in output? Yes.

Hopkins issue is the fact he didnt have the plan to win this fight. He had the plan not to look ****.

No, Lennox Lewis mentioned that Wlad had abandonned his normally
excellent use of lateral movement in the Austin fight and criticized
Wlad for stalking Austin which made him more vulnerable for counters.
Maybe you should stop drinking as it seems to have negatively
    affected your reading comprehension.

You always think you win any fight you don't get your ass beat in.

How anybody else can think that though, is beyond the limits of human reason.
