How does it affect your opinion of a fighter when he can't admit a loss?

What about when Tito clearly beat Sweet pea? There was a point in the fight where Tito effectivly cut the ring off and cornered Pernell, and instead of fighting (or at least clinching) Pernell just sat down!

And after the fight he's going to say he won. That was one of the worst instances of not admitting defeat.

Most boxers think they won every fight their in. Even the ones they were stopped in. I find it disappointing, but I get past it.

I remember watching the post fight (Holyfield vs Tyson) when Mike got up and said He just had to give Evander his credit cuz he truely "kicked his ass". He then stood up and went to shake Evanders hand. Whoa

same with after the lewis fight. tyson was classy, even after he crushed a ****ing opponent he'd usually give them props

depends how he loss. if he was robbed i'm ok with it. but if it's someone like vitali klitchko who still bitter about the lewis match then i'm a little turned off by it.

That's right didn't he start kissing Lewis? That's going a little too far, lol.

Like when Oscar beat Mayorga, and afterwards Ricardo started kissing Oscars arm. I didn't want to see all that.

Believe it or not, it's a lot easier to fight with a hand injury than with explosive diarrhea.

when a fighter can't admit a loss, I think he's either a sore loser or he is suffering from delusion. when michael katsidis actually thought he beat juan diaz, he was suffering from delusion. he actually thought he had won. it was crazy

EXACTLY! that's a great, and embarrassing, example. diaz owned him. probably the clearest 8-4 fight i've ever seen and katsidis refused to acknowledge it. instead he used the one blind judge to justify his "win". it was classless and stupid. whether or not you agree, give him props. not like your ***** whining is gonna change things. now robberies, that's a little different

It depends on the fighter and the circumstances. I used to be in awe of Kelly Pavlik until the Hopkins fight. He never came out and just admitted that Bernard Hopkins kicked his ass from pillar to post. That dropped his status a bit in my eyes.

This is what makes certain fighters great. they are never wrong, in their minds .

What you have to realise is fighters are stubborn if they did not have this mentality they would not show their true selves in the ring and they woulkd probably not carry on fighting for so long but the bottom line is we cant have it both ways.

and like the cats in my avatar: if you don't admit your mistakes, you're doomed to repeat them

norton lost the second fight to ali by not putting rounds in the bank and throwing away much of the fight

3rd fight comes along and he drops the 15th thinking it's all his already. he didn't just watch the tape, admit he lost, and do everything in his power to correct it. if he spent half as much time fixing his mistakes as he did whining about his "robbery" he'd have been heavyweight champion in 75
