Ortiz showed that he can give an elite fighter like Loma a good tussle. How do you see his chances against other fighters such as Devin Haney, Shakur Stevenson, Ryan Garcia, Tank Davis, and Isaac Cruz? Can he possibly be a challenge for all of those guys or do you think it was more of a one-off, off-night kind of performance by Loma?

It looked more like loma has lost quite a bit.

Looks to be competitive with all of them. Definitely with Garcia and Haney, maybe loses to Tank and Shakur.

Loses to all of them. Loma's best win is Gary Russell Jr. Whatever you think about Gary, just know that these guys would demolish Gary.

    50/50 Haney
    Loses to Shakur
    Loses to Ryan
    Beats Davis
    Beats Cruz

It wasn’t a one off ‘bad night’ for Loma. This isn’t the first time Loma has struggled with bigger, strong, young fighters.

Loma works off his own success and the ability to make an opponent gun shy. This doesn’t happen with the bigger fighters early on. When they begin to slow he is able to utilise his tools, throw from angles and land shots that they don’t see coming.

Tank is in trouble against Loma. His low output and unwillingness to be first will cost him round after round.

Haney is a genuinely interesting fight. If Loma doesn’t respect Haneys power (or lack of) he will make it an easy night. If Haney can find a way to impose his size advantage by cutting Loma off and tying up on the inside, it may be a comfortable night for him.

Dickhead. Linares, Ortiz & Walter's all beat GRJ. GRJ at his peak was a nightmare for anyone anyway, he'd certainly spank Cruz .. & Ortiz would pummel fat ass Davis

Linares has a glass jaw. Walters and Ortiz are way too slow and crude.

i dont think hes as good as he looked vs loma. as others have pointed out, he did a lot of sparring vs loma. had plenty of time to adjust to what works and what doesn't. i dont think he will be as prepared for what other top fighters bring in their tool box. he does lots of things well, but i think he will lose to fast guys with some length.

Go back and watch his fight with adorno (which you could make a case he should have gotten the nod) , that's his ceiling. He's an above average fighter, but not elite. I would like to see more of him though, he's a good action TV fighter.

He also just did a number on Herring & pushed Loma.. let him develop a bit more, hes only has about 18 fights , a year or so more he'll be primed for a title shot ..

Ortiz was the first fighter to not be bothered by Loma's power. Loma landed a lot of hard shots on Ortiz and he didn't seem bothered. I imagine he wouldn't go down by Tanks first couple shots and could at least make it late into the fight with his defense, range, and footwork and may even make it 12.

He beats Haney and Garcia with dominance.

Shakur and Tank is levels above, so there will be a lot closer than people think.

I have not seen enough of Cruz to tell how he can handle that style.

It's funny that small Loma dropped every single fighter than he fought at LW, expect Lopez and now Ortiz. That will tell you something.
