How does Joe deserve to leap Pacquiao as #2 P4P?

I dont think you can get anymore dominant than demolishing 2 ATG fights in MAB & Morales.

I would also compare the 2nd Morales fight the the Bhop that fought Calzaghe. Both BHop & Morales were 2-1 underdog. Both were lingering near or around the top 10 p4p. Both were considered old although Hopkins was 13years older. Both were outboxing their opponents first 5 rounds. Both legs gave out later in the fight. The difference is, Pac carries alot more pop and was able to KO a tiring Morales, joe wasnt.

    As for your other highlights:

Calzaghe has been champ for 11 years, so what, Pac has been champ for 10years.

Calzaghe's undisputed but Pac is a 4weight division champ, 3 linear in the span of 6 weight divisions.

Calzaghe is undefeated, well comparing a Frank Warren protected fighter to an asian fighter who really had to work hard on his way up is hardly comparable. On top of that Calzaghe didnt face the same competition either.

    1. Morales is an atg warrior who had never even been knocked down in his entire career. I don't think that him getting knocked the **** out in back to back fights was coming sooner or later at all. Especially not by someone who was fighting 2 divisions lower just 2 years prior

    2. DM was a great fighter.

    3. There is much more competition in the lower divisions. Asia and Latin America are heavily represented there. They just get less exposure, which actually makes it even harder.

    4. Pac would beat Calzaghe head to head, no doubt. Hopkins, Lacy and Kessler is very good but JMM, Barrera and Morales is much better. Overall Pacquiao looked better than Joe did, against better opposition.

    and I second that..

As you said about Morales, you could say the same about BHop.. He was getting old..

How can you say it's easier to be a champ in the lower division? Because they don't weigh 160-170 somethin' pounds? Because their is less competition? Calzaghe fought no where near the competition Pac has fought.. MAB, Morales, JMM.. Calzaghe beat an good overall fighter in Kessler and an old Hopkins in which he didn't look impressive in at all..

Rutgers he pretty much summed it up here for me too. A lot was taken out of Morales in his wars with MAB but I have no doubt that he was nowhere near the "decline" stage at that point in his career. And I also feel that the lower weight classes are more talented than the higher weight classes. You should really check them out/get in to them so you can broaden your boxing horizons :D. Guys like Calderon, Solis, Molitor, Guzman, Mijares, John, etc don't get NEAR enough the respect that they deserve, and thats what the p4p rankings are for (even though they still go mostly unnoticed). And as for Pac/Calzaghe I could write up a big long analysis but ill just make it short and sweet. Imo Pac would stop JC. He has power in both hands and Joe would get eaten up by straights all night. Not to mention Joe has always had hand issues so Pac would give him absolutely no respect and walk right through him. Just my .2 cents

no i meant p4p of course

also how can you say Calzaghe is undisputed and Pac has never been? Pac has been undisputed in 3 divisions with multiple defenses in 2 of them. Calzaghe is undisputed in 2 divisions with 0 defenses.

If we went strictly by official results, then Pac would be #1.....
.....fortunately most of us get to see the actual fights and can judge accordingly......

My list would go something like this....

    1. Mayweather

    2. Juan Manuel Marquez

The rest quite frankly are bunched up pretty closely.....Calzaghe, Pac, Cotto, Mosely, Raphael Marquez, Israel Vasquez, Cristian Mijares......
.....all strong candidates to make a case for the third spot and down.

Personally I'd have Calzaghe ahead of Pac because not only is he undefeated, but he's better overall and can beat you in more ways than Pac can.
