several people also thought bhop won against jc although i am convinced calslappy won the fight. some people regard it as a controversial decision and even bhop said he was robbed. so what's your point:huh

    He doesn't.

Top 3 is even too high, imo. One, because of him (Calzaghe). Two, because Pac and JMM have proven to be almost equal.

Obviously I'm not basing my assesment on accomplishment, as in JMM's prime, none of the other top names had the balls to fight him.....

.....on basing it on who I think is the best P4P best right now as we speak, and judging so by having watched the respetive fighters fight and their overall ability.

My opinion of JMM's quality is my opinion, I'm entitled to it. I'm not forcing it upon you.

Here's one for your gut pal.....

    1. Floyd Mayweather

    2. Juan Manuel Marquez.....and a non-prime one at that!!!!:hey :yep :bbb :tong

No probs with that from me. I got
    1. Floyd
    2. Pac
    3. JMM

You must have Pac VERY close to JMM? IMO, they've proven to be almost equal, in terms of p4p.

That was a fluke. He was ko by a hit in the body and was dehydrated b4 the fight. He was also dishearted, b4 the fight his wbc flyweight belt was taken from him bec. he can't make weight. You would notice that pac was not in his own self, his devil may care aggresiveness was'nt there, he was running around trying to avoid medgeon! Is that how pac started rnds.1? Heck he was like valero who is so eager to ko his opponents at the opening bell, which was not evident on that fight! He was like your boy jmm, or chris john, only on that occasion his legs also was sluggish, his punches doe'snt have even a little bit of a snap, his eyes was'nt there...in short he ain't the same pac!
After that what happened? He moved up at 122, have a 90% winning rate and the oly guy who escaped him was agapito, bec. of a draw, and on all those wins he have 100% ko rate!
So does that def. he suffered in a foreign land after dehydrating himself just to make weight eventhough it was irrelevant anymore after losiong his world title justifies you bragging around pac lost to a bum? Or does it justifies him dominating the superbantams with a 100% ko rate in all of his what maybe 11 wins?
    Answer me please...:think

If you want JC to have more respect, then he has to fight and beat Tarver, Pavlik, and a few other top boxers.

Pac is in my top 5.

I rarely ever give P4P rankings a thought, but just off the top of my head....I would rate solid fighters that can beat you in many ways higher than what I would rate Pac.

......for example, I dont see Pac's power being effective at 135 lbs and beyond against naturally bigger fighters.
.....but I'd see a more rounded fighter like Mayweather and JMM being able to compete and be sucessful against fighters that outweigh them on fightnight!

Example again.....there is speculation that Pac will fight Ricky Hatton after the David Diaz fight......I'd give Pac zero chance at victory.....
Pac's strenghts would play to Ricky Hatton's style.

.....now, I would'nt favor JMM to go as high as 140 lbs and beat Hatton, but his skills certainly would lend itself to be much more competitive and with a greater chance to pull the upset with his counterpunching skills than the chance that Pac has.

Dont get me wrong, I respect Pac's abilities, he's certainly exciting, but he's also has more holes in his game and is imo more beatable than a few other great fighters in existence today!

.....but please dont take my post as being a knock on Pac....at 130 lbs and below, it takes a great fighter fighting at the top of his abilities to beat him.
    Pac is certainly a P4P'er!

With all due respect to Calzaghe, he did all that in a division relatively weaker than the Featherweights. Have you been watching the 126 lbs - 130 lbs. fighters in the last 10 years? They've been incredible. You have good champions, but then you have great champions, and the Featherweights had both. The great champions include Pac, Morales, Barrera, J.Marquez, Junior Jones, and I have to add Joan Guzman. Very good champions include Humberto Soto, Jorge Barrios, Rocky Juarez, Luisito Espinosa, Naseem Hamed, Cesar Soto, Manuel Medina, Ledwaba, Nedal Hussein, In-Jin Chi, Oscar Larios, Chris John, Paulie Ayala, Johnny Tapia, Kevin Kelley, Freddie Norwood, Jesus Chavez, Agapito Sanchez, and Derrick Gainer. There are also young-blood champions such as Jorge Linares, Edwin Valero, Steven Luevano, and Jorge Solis. You also have a long list of what I call average champions, but champions nonetheless.

You can't say that the Light Heavyweight division was anywhere as deep as the Featherweights. If you include 122 lbs. which most of the above great fighters fought at, then you bring in more high-level boxers into the mix. Today the 122 lbs. division is a marquee division with Israel Vasquez, Raphael Marquez, Ponce De Leon, Molitor, Bautista, and etc.
