In some ways, Joe was made for Vitali.

He just keeps coming forward. That worked fine against most of the opponents he ever faced.

But against a guy like Foreman, it was devastating, on TWO occasions.

I'm not saying Vitali is big George, but he is big (bigger even than George) and has a big punch. Byrd avoided him and boxed, and would have still lost but for the injury.

Lennox was a big, skillful boxer with his own power and despite the nonesense you sometimes read on here, a pretty decent chin.

All of Vitali's other opponents eventually tasted the canvas.

(Watching Vitali, he always seemed more committed to staying in balance than throwing his hardest shot. I don't think we've ever seen his best punch, but that hardly matters if he always fights that way)

I think he catches Joe coming forward and does what Foreman did, or similar.

If Joe worms his way inside, Vitali is still too big and strong and will lean on him and overcome him in the in-fighting.

Joe is outsized, out-muscled and outchinned. He might win but I would favour Vitali.

(Wlad doesn't have the same mental toughness and for many reasons, I would probably favour Joe in that one)

That's a great analysis. If I HAD to put money on it, I'd probably put it on Vitali.
