I just want to see the fight.. I can make a case for both and both are capable of winning. If wilder doesn't knock him out AJ should win. AJ could either outbox him cagey alal parker or step on him like he did klitschko .
I thought you would be backing our boy AJ..im surprised you think Wilder is leagues above him, you a great poster on this forum so respect your opinion 100%...you think Wilder will knock him out? I cant wait to see how the bookies price this fight.
Out of respect, I’ve usually said I think it’s a 50/50. In reality, I honestly can’t see past Wilder by KO.
100% I think Wilder is a different animal. I used to think Wilder was a complete joke and a total hype job but the way he came back from the brink against Ortiz convinced me that this guy is a beast and one of the greatest athletes we’ll ever see. People don’t realise how freakish his athleticism and natural power is. He’s underweight tbh as a HW (6’7, 215lbs is like a 5’11 featherweight as far as I’m concerned) but he still has ridiculous power. His unorthodoxy is his biggest weapon and I can’t see how Joshua, who has limited head movement and was almost KO’d by a Wlad who barely landed a right on Fury and Jennings, will manage to avoid getting tagged by Wilder. Joshua gets knocked out cold here. If it’s a two-fight series with a rematch in Vegas, Wilder will be Joshua’s final opponent.
If he fights like he has fought since Clit decked him yes The winner is more likely to be the first to land a bomb and the longer the fight goes, then I think this is more likely to be Wilder.
Joshua will destroy Wilder inside two rounds and put an end to this American hype job once and for all.
I just know i will be changing my mind throughout the build up to this fight! Im going for Joshua now, but you lot are making a good argument for Wilder. I am a massive fan of Wilder..not being soppy or anything but i liked him even more when i saw how he is with his daughter, to me it was beautiful to see. Mad respect to the man.
I have to go with wilder, he is much slicker whereas Joshua is a bit too robotic for my liking, although he is capable of winning, I just don't see him being quick enough to be able to catch him clean, wilder for all his faults could probably knock him out as he comes in and as he himself is backing up, and I just don't see any other result so am going for wilder between four and eight.
I hear what ur saying but the fact that aj will have to take punishment from wilder to open him up for counters will be the very thing that gets him floored. Unless Aj suddenly learns to defend effectivly in other ways than catching and blocking he will get caught with wilders right over the top. Tbh i dont think this fight is getting made next, think its just some more promo work from team wilder.
It will certainly knock the smile off Joshua's face, I really hate the way he smiles and laughs at his opponents when he beats them.
Wilder has a punchers chance at best. Hes a good puncher tbf tho. His success relies on him being the bigger/longer man. They,ve done a good job training his right hand. Looks like they,ve been doing reflex training with it. They,ve been fighting shorter reached guys that need to come in to him tho. Its just a case of backing off...using his jab then waiting on the shorter fighter to come into him to face that right hand. The problem will come when the opponent doesnt need to close that gap. Joshua will get the job done off the jab. Ala parker. And see what opportunities present themselves. Agree with someone's post wilder will be backing up half the night. He won't punch with Joshua. And joshua doesn't need to get on the inside. Wilder will end up not knowing what to do. Wilder has the perfect tools to cause Joshua,s downfall. Speed/power. His lack of skill with be the downfall tho. Their fighting to a system. The system being the opponent needs to come to him. As soon as someone has tools or size/physique to counteract that system...he,ll get found wanting. I think Joshua will stop him.
