The "Amazing Boy" has been a staple of P4P lists for a couple years now, the Japanese dynamo has a record 14 successful defences of his titles, and his only loss was to the capable contender Masimichi Yabuki, a fight for which Teraji was ill and had a bad camp, and which he avenged by 3rd round KO. His signature win was against the excellent Hiroto Kyoguichi, for which he became unified and lineal champion. How does Teraji stack up against the great light-flyweights of the past?

I don't see him surpassing Chang and Yuh (who remains the recordholder for title defenses, overall).

H2H, I think I'd favor some others, like Carbajal or Humberto Gonzalez at their best over Teraji.

In terms of historical placing, I'd say he's right around Yoko Gushiken's level, at present.

Thanks for correcting me on Yuh holding the record of most defences. Teraji has said he wants to fight 4 times a year going forward, so if he stays at 108 for at least 2 more years he might have a chance of setting the new record though.
