I wish he would have saved his money. With his greatness he should be a millionaire many times over. He explained it once that he was the older brother and all of his siblings came to him asking for money and he gave them money and later no one had any money for him, and he tried boxing promotation Tyson vs. Golota and I suspect he lost a lot of money on that one. You do get the feeling he is serious a little when he tells Hagler let's do it again. like he can earn that money again and turn his life around. It is sad. I am surprised he does not have another comeback a few years back but at 60 years old in a few months, no one will sanction his fights not even in Europe. Boxing is over for him now no matter what he wants as it should be. It would be dangerous at his age. I just don't think he realizes how ridiculous it sounds to mention fighting now. Does he realize that he fought Hagler 33 years ago?

Prime Hearns beats Leonard. Prime Hearns already fought Hagler and was knocked out.

So at this point it is not about losing then. He would fight Hagler,Leonard and Duran and he wants the paycheck. Well some people would want it. I wouldn't . It would be like watching them spar now. We really wouldn't know who would win. I would hope the younger fighters who are fighting now take notice of fighters who won millions and lost it. I read about it once where many of these guys will actually buys homes and pay payments for the homes when they can buy them outright. Not knowing how to manage money.

Regarding the massage weakening Hearns legs. Someone, and yes including Hearns should have known that a massage can weaken the legs. Cheap excuse. I never did hear where Steward was while these hang ons were pumping Tommy up. Only massage that knocked Tommy out was Haglers fist on Hearns head. Hearns was getting tagged repeatedly. Most everyone should have seen by then it was unlikely Hearns would win. I've never seen anyone plow through Hearns so decisively. By the middle of round two Hearns legs were rubberized and gone.

I swear I already saw these fights take place, so I don't need to imagine what would happen.. I saw what DID happen. SRL 14rd TKO, Hagler 3rd KO

Even I as a great fan of Hearns thinks he has himself to blame for losing these fights. He was not prime against Ray, but he was great and what more do you want. There are always excuses which can be made for any fighter. No one fights anyone with every perfect. Ray against Hearns in 1981 to me was prime and yet fresh.
