    Old Lewis TKO prime Vitali.

    Wonder what a prime Lewis would do to an old Vitali...

    Dude, it's the seesaw battle that saw the champ in jeopardy of losing and having to fight his way back into things with the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat hangin' in the balance.

    Yeah, unfortunately for them it's with his fists.

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Vitali was cut. Bad. Bad enough to stop the fight. Know what caused the cut? Lewis' fists. Lewis won.

    He didn't retire him, Lewis won and then after reviewing how sluggish he looked in himself , he himself retired sensibly in knowing he had gone on long enough and it was time to enjoy his after boxing life...

    Vitali was a mess and was getting worse.. He was saved and Lewis did well considering how old and worn he was going into that fight.

    so the best ever version of vitali goes in with possibly the worst version of lewis, wins the first few rounds, but gets busted up worse than jeff lacy after 12 rounds of kissing joes fists, in danger of losing eyes and pretty much everything else...

    vitali came up short against the best fighter he has, and will, ever face...

    considering how highly vitali is still held - to the point 95% probably believe if vitali did come back, he'd be the best heavy weight out there - at his advanced age and lack of ring action, doesn't that tell you so much about how great Lewis actually was?

    In a way the Vitali fight did more for Lewis' legacy than harm.

    I'd have to agree. Name another heavyweight that in one of their last fights, at an advanced age, beats the guy that goes on to be the next dominant top heavyweight. If only Vitali had remained injury free he would have made Lewis look even better.

    Had the fight been allowed to go on, would Lewis have won? Probably, because those nicks on Klits' face may well have developed in to serious gashes.
