I highly dislike both Lomachenko and Russell Jr. for different reasons, mostly their fanbase. I have been highly critical of both, but particularly Lomachenko because his hype and the discussion he generated was off the charts and entirely without the merit to warrant such. That said, I think Lomachenko beats Russell. I think he does so by effective shelling up and boxing on the outside.

You know what's sad? Lomachenko has only had 2 pro fights, and he's already fought better opposition than Russell.

Purse bid went down like 2 months ago... before the GBP/Shaefer/Haymon/Mayweather drama/conflict/breakup happened.

GRJ is not more talented and that cheat Salido would batter him anyway. Salido is no joke and would destroy any of version of this TBA Gary seems to be locked on a never ending series with.

i see Loma as the more talented of the two. no question. he has the physical gifts in abundance.

it's his mental strength in the Pro game that i question. against Salido, all he did was feint, use upper-body movement, and refuse to throw bloody punches. if he lets them go, he'll do well in the sport. if he fights the way he did last time though, he's going nowhere fast. so it's entirely up to him. he does need to pull his finger out, and quick.

I was impressed with Tevin Farmer this past week. Really fought a brilliant fight against the undefeated PR.

That should bode well for Loma.

Loma has fought better guys in his first pro fight than grj has in all his 20+ pro fights

    Also don't forget
Loma almost had Salido outta there towards the end but the bell saved him

I was really surprised he waited so long. He should have picked it up in round 9, not 12. Maybe he wasn't sure what he had left since it was unknown territory.

He'll utilize his physical dimensions like his reach and height to keep Jr. at the end of his punches. Both are super fast and both have power....but I think Loma has a little more pop with better weapons. I wish Gary Jr luck....he'll need it. But really looking forward to this fight. Hope Russell can step up and make this fight more competitive than I'm thinking it will be.

Oh...and Jr. isn't superior in talent by any stretch of the imagination...Loma and Jr. are very talented but this will come down to who has the superior skills ,experience and who has the advantage in styles. Gary has more Pro fights against very limited opposition....Loma has less experience at the pro level but his one fight completely sh*ts on every opponent Gary has on his ledger.
