According to HBO,Morales was one of several names(along with Barrera,who's adviser acknowledged in an interview around that time they they received a "fair offer" from Hamed's side) who turned down a fight with Hamed in the summer of 2000.Morales was apparently upset with them for suggesting that he was ducking Hamed and the HBO noted that in the commentary during his fight with Kelley.
