i think that this fight will be similar to hopkins calzaghe - with mayweather - although being the technically superior boxer- being simply outworked with pacs punchrate. floyd may land the cleaner , harder shots- but manny will be so much more active- and busy - that i think he ll get rewarded the rounds. futhermore i think that if there are any close rounds - that the judges will , crowd, audience, commentators- will all subconsciously give it to manny, how can u not? he s the underdog, smaller, is so likeable- i see the close ones going to him- for simply making them close.

this really is a pick em fight. both fighters - both deserve credit for fighting each other - and winning - regardless if its floyd that wins.

I am confused by Mayweather, I just dont see why he came back unless its down to money problems. He didnt do himself any favours fighting Marquez at 145, oops sorry, 147.

build up to the fight will be interesting, Roach will be getting under Floyds skin and Manny will just save it for the ring.

Floyd's face was bruised against the slow and aging DLH . . . right? :D

We cannot say how . . . but it could happen. The shoulder roll is just part of PBF's defense not the whole of it.

Floyd will have to keep his hands in front of him against Pac. The shoulder roll will get him ktfo.

I think some months back, Roach said that it would be an easier fight for Manny (if ever Floyd vs Pac ever happens) if FMJ just chooses to rope a dope and do all his defense and shoulder rolls, rather than box straight up.

IIRC, one of their strategies would be punching up and down and everywhere they can hit,and not focusing solely on one target, and using feints.

Calzag slapped the **** out of BHOP and cracked his defense with just a basic high octane offense. I think Pac has the potential to punch the **** out of Floyds shoulders/arms/head/neck/hands. He probably wont KO him, but he will win on points and in the judges eyes if he keeps busy for 12 rounds like he is capable of. Roach has said his plan is to breakdown Floyd by punching him all over. Probably easier said then done but never know now with Pac after the **** he pulled on Cotto.

PBF will not use the shoulder roll with Pac he's a southpaw. He will work behind a high tight guard which is better for his best punch and the best punch against southpaws the straight right hand. If he goes to the shoulder roll it will only be for a few seconds.

Hadnt read your post before posting mine-but agree. BHOP has great D, and a nonstop offense with nothing really extraordinary from Calzag, scored points against BHOP and kept his countering to a minimum. Taylor did the same against BHOP, although his offense was not as intense or constant as Calzag and the fights therefore seemed much closer. Possible that same thing happens in this fight
