He said he wants to fight PBF. They asked on TFC (The Filipino Channel) "for the record do you want to fight FMJ". Pac said, "for the record, yes".

So, he personally does want the fight, but it is just a matter of negotiating.

Personally, I do not think the fight will happen.

Is your reason the usual 'Floyd doesn't want it' answer, or will both camps not be able to come to an agreement?

My reason is that both sides will not be able to come to an agreement, which will setup a PBF tune up then fight Mosley and Manny to fight either Valero or JMM III at 140.

I don't even think Floyd came into the ring at 160 vs De La Hoya..

    I stopped reading after that

Pac had quickly outgrown 112. He could not even make the weight on his 2nd defense of the 112 belt and lost it even before he lost to Singsurat. Pac is unknown outside of Asia, no named boxers gave him a fight except Ledwaba who took him as a late substitute, it's not Pac's fault if he didn't fight the host of fighters at 112 to 122 and no fighter can possibly fight them all.:patsch

Tough to be objective when you have youre favorite fighters nuts down youre throat, so although I would love Pac to pummel Mayweathers sorry cherry picking ass the fact is this weasel will win by shutting Pac down taking few risks and tapping his way to a boring points decision.

According to an interview with Roach, they will wear down Floyd then go for a knockout if the fight happens. With this statement, how are they gonna do this exactly?

From my view: Floyd blocks alot with his shoulders and elbows. FLoyd had a shoulder injury before, they just might be thinking of going for the shoulders to wear him out until it's useless or ineffective.

Floyd avoids also by jolting backwards. Most of the time, Pacman goes straight forward to throw combinations but one scene is vivid in my mind on his fight against Hatton. Pacman threw a 3 punch combination that moved Hatton all the way from one corner to the opposite corner. This is how fast Pac can close the gap, I was truly amazed at how he did that and he will need that kind of attack against Floyd. I was even more amazed to how he turned Cotto to the corner or to the ropes when he was the one being attacked in the rope. Add to this, when he avoided a punch, moved forward at an angle and slipped in a left to Cotto's jaw. From all these, I see Pac creating angles Floyd has never seen from his previous opponents.

Floyd is Floyd and will do what he always does best. Wait for the attack and counter to stop the attacker. This I'm not so sure if it will stop Pac. If Pac gets close, or worse, corners Floyd, the flurries will come automatically, it's Pac's nature. Pac's flurries look ugly but proven to be effective. He throws punches that are not in the book and it is why his opponents are not expecting those and don't see them coming. Whether they will land or blocked, they will do some kind of damage. If he swings into thin air, it's FLoyd's get away ticket and will slip in a couple of punches.

We all know how good Pac's offense is, been tested against the top fighters. FLoyd's defense we know is great but has it been tested against the top fighters? That is the question. Has he faced against someone like Pac, Margarito, or Paul WIlliams who just comes at you non-stop?

I believe Pac will win this fight due to his warrior mentality, he will find a way. His mentality is not to lose. The other guy might just be fighting for the money, not to say that he doesn't want to win but, I don't think he is confident of winning this fight. I say this because of how the majority of the public want him to lose just lowers his confidence.

Mayweather sticks Pacman with a stiff jab repeatedly in the 1st opening up the lead right and double hooks. Pacman attacks repeatedly, but the jab and straight rights take some starch out of Pac's arsenal. Pacman decides to attempt to lure Mayweather in by going to the ropes and feigning damage. Mayweather does not bite, but continues feeding Pacman a study diet of stiff jabs and lead rights. Pacman starts attempting to go to the body to set up his short right hook. Mayweather has begun targeting Pac's right ear. Sometime in the first 4 rounds Mayweather throws a lead right and shortens up the left hook, steps in to harms way and floors Pacman with a right uppercut.

Mayweather brings it all in order to make a statement and further infuriate his critics. Mayweather by TKO in 6 or less.

I think it would go down similar to De La Hoya - Mayweather, with Mayweather having to resort to more defense than offense due to the other guy's aggression. The difference, is, Pacquiao is much faster, and won't wilt like De La Hoya did. Mayweather will be playing too much defense and not enough offense, and Pacquiao will get the decision.

Pac can't outbox May over 12 rounds imo and so in order for him to win it would have to be by stoppage.

The question is whether or not Floyd can take Pac's punches. It's true that Floyd is a defensive wizard however it's inevitable that he's going to get tagged from time to time and when he does he'll have to endure Pac's relentlessness.
