How do you think Pacquiao's power compares to Tszyu's at 140?

Tszyu has one punch knockout power. Tszyu by far.

Farmy, who do you like in this weekend's fight?

BTW, you should start participating in my boxing prediction league. It's a Sticky in the Lounge.

Agree with Farmy. Pac is a combination of speed and power. Zoo had 1 punch KO power in that straight right. One of the straightest punches you will ever see.

Tszyu had what oftentimes appeared to be freakish power in my mind.

It's tough for me to gauge whether or not Pac compares to that. We do not have much to go by, really.

Of course, oftentimes the best punches are the ones you don't see, so raw power might be overrated in the context I was imagining.

i think kostya is more powerful than pacman. 140 is kostya's natural weight, and the way in which he demolished some elite opponents with 1 punch ko's, showed how great his power was.

however kostya was not at his best the night he fought hatton, plus the ref allowed hatton to pretty much smoother tszyu constantly which prevented kostya from getting off with his best power shots which were full extension shots.

at such close range, wrestling constantly meant kostya's power was mostly neutralised. even still he managed to stun hatton on a couple occasions.

the mayweather fight proved that hatton's chin is not 100% iron. mayweather having the youth and energy in his legs to get out of range managed to ko hatton despite not being a fearsome puncher at 147.

pacman will be similar to mayweather in speed of hand... but actually more powerful than the normally defensive minded mayweather.

this spells bad news for hatton. combination punches with speed AND power. youth, and a non-pommie ref really makes this an uphill battle for the hitman i think.

Tszyu had one punch ko power, apposed to The Pacman.

Tszyu had great timming and accuracy and thats were the power came from.

He hit Zab right on the button and thats why he did the chicken dance.:silly

At 140, I'm sure that Tszyu was a much, much harder puncher, one of the best hitters of all time. While he didn't offer the kind of one punch power that, say, people like Hearns or Shavers had, what he did have was accurate, consistent power that almost always broke his opponents down throughout the course of a fight. He is my favorite fighter, so I'm sure that I'm pretty biased. But I believe that there are probably few fighters who were as physically powerful as Tszyu for their size.

Pacquiao's power is nothing to **** with either, but it's just not on the same level. Especially as he's gone up in weight.

There may have been some better single punch KO's throughout history, but the after effect is priceless! Insta-Classic!

Pac hasn't even shown himself to be a powerful puncher about 135. His power wasn't great at 135, so what would make somebody believe it would be on the level of Kostya? I'd say Pac's power might be on par with Nate Campbells.
