How does Pavlik Beat Martinez?

I've been good just can't wait to see this Pavlik/Martinez fight!!

I love to emphasize!

 

Oh for **** sakes it's clear as DAY that Williams is quicker.

 

Which is 'quicker'. One of Williams' looping shots or Pavlik's straight right? Kelly did quite well in the ams and you don't just bully your way at that level. I count "quick" as the time you think about throwing until it lands and I don't count meaningless arm punches.

 

A couple things.

For starters, Bernard Hopkins was a very solid 175lbs when Pavlik fought him. Pavlik is a 1-2 guy true enough, but most of his pressure is about wearing opponents down with that 1-2 and pushing them off. He's a physical opponent.

Pavlik just could not move Hopkins. He was the proverbial boy against man that night.

Now looking at the Martinez fight, Pavlik is clearly the bigger man in this fight. He's clearly going to be the stronger man in this fight. So all of the things Pavlik does well will be in his favor.

Martinez has to be fast on his feet and avoid the pushing and shoving around. He also has to avoid the inside brawling that Pavlik is good at.

If he can't do that and gets worn down like he did by Paul in their fight he's going to get stopped. Pavlik is much stronger than Paul and will punch right through Martinez if he gets the opportunities. As basic as Pavlik is, he punches hard enough to warrant a concern. He's good at what he does and against smaller opponents or weaker opponents he does it to perfection.

As far as I see it, I think Martinez makes good on the foot speed and hand speed for a few rounds but tires and starts getting pushed around by Pavlik. Pavlik will sweep the late rounds on that note, possibly stopping Martinez late.

After what old man hopkins did to pavlik you honestly think martinez will struggle ? martinez is serious business and as for pavlik one of the strongest middleweights ever lol @ that.

Martinez will counter and land crisp fast clean shots on pavlik whole fight martinez via tko or ud.

Martinez fights nothing like Hopkins, and I mean NOTHING like Hopkins. The difference is night and day. It is so obvious that even Martinez said he gleaned very little insight from watching Pavlik/Hopkins.

It is quite laughable, and indeed, ludicrous to expect a TKO for Martinez. Pavlik has fought at least 12 guys who hit harder than Martinez. Sergio is NOT a puncher, but Pavlik is double tough, and has a very good chin. Silly prediction.

Exactly 1 out of 37 opponents succesfully countered Pavlik for 12 rounds. Martinez will have some success in the first 3 or 4 rounds. After that he'll get the **** beat out of him everytime he gets in range.

Kelly Pavlik eats small middleweights who have leaky defense and questionable stamina. That is all Martinez is, nothing more.

he may be one dimensional but that one dimension is pretty impressive

 

Martinez will ko Fakeliv easy, I will be rooting for Martinez after all Pavilik lost on purpose against Hopkins only because Golden Boy gave him a lot of money that sucks, Pavlik must be defeated at all cost.
