How does Povetkin`s left uppercut from last night compare to Ruddock`s 'smash' punch?

To me that lefty uppercut was just as powerful as the left uppercut Ruddock knocked Dokes out with, could Mike Tyson have taken that shot better than Dillian? Is Povetkin`s left uppercut more powerful than Ruddock`s ws or not?

Ruddock's famous shovel hook was a tad overrated, because, as Tyson said on the commercial selling their fight, "he almost killed Michael Dokes." Dokes had been quite through the ringer at that point and was himself a bit overvalued because he made a good fight to an Evander Holyfield who was still trying to find himself at heavy. "tHe Smash" was rarely to never there against world class opponents.

As for Povetkin, the guy is an enigma. Early in career, people complained of his lack of power. I always felt that he had more than he showed, because he was used to the pitty-pat amateur crap. And when he learned to set down, he indeed found those reservoirs of power.

Still, I think there is a difference between knocking out Dillion Whyte and knocking out Mike Tyson.

The Smash was a very telegraphed punch which left Ruddock upon to be countered. It was undoubtedly a harder and more devastating shot but not as pretty or textbook as the shot Povetkin laid Whyte out with.
