It could go either way, it would definitely NOT be a one sided beatdown like some of you guys are thinking. I would say the biggest factor would be Pacquiao's hunger and motivation, if he still has it then he would EARN a 12 round decision victory but if his heart is not in it the Siberian will maul him into retirement, either way it would be an extremely unpredictable match, anything could happen.
Provodnikov is definitely better at cutting off a ring and hits much harder however he cuts and can bruise up and struggles against guys that throw combinations and move Pacquiao has the ability to dominate but probably gets nailed a couple of times
lol they said same thing about coto one hit and manny would go down ruslan doesn't have one ko power its just his pressure
I disagree, the overhand right that had Bradley chicken dancing on his way to the canvas in the first round would have knocked out any other 140-147 fighter including Danny Garcia.
Had Pacman and Ruslan never had been in the ring together, I would say "Go 4 it!". However, Ruslan has spent a lot of time with Pacman and has learned too much to make him someone Pac should consider fighting - and they are friends. Either one, or both, could get hurt very badly. Ruslan's charge will not be slowed or stopped by Pacmans speed, and Pacman will not give up. I see nothing but bad things from a fight like this: it's a Human Train Wreck in the making. Yeah...I know Arum has suggested that these two fight, and it just show how little he gives a damn about his fighters. However, Manny may have to take the fight because he is broke. If he does, do not expect Ruslan to show him a shred of compassion or mercy: if Pacman considers such a fight Pacman he will have gravely insulted Ruslan and he'll no longer care what happens to Pacman.
****in awesome fight... I could see either guy winning. I could see Provodnikov brutally KOing Pac definitely. Or vice versa. Great fight.
Pacquiao wrecks him. Bradley fighting stupidly and Alvarado being unable to find success on the back foot does not therefor make Provodnikov particularly good against boxers. This was the same guy who needed a gift against Corley for heaven's sake.
Pacquiao would effectively turn Ruslan into a sparring partner, which ironically he already is/was to Manny. I would love to see Provodnikov-Matthysse
