Screw FLoyd and Pac. This is the best boxer in boxing today. Such a shame he is born in the wrong era. Even in the 90's the little guys had more respect. Finito, Carbajal, Tapia, Romero were on American TV all the time.
Heck, Finito is even seen as one of the greatest fighters from the 90's top 5 Mexican fighter of all time and easily top 100P4P of all time, yet Gonzalez his career is already way better and nobody knows him. People rather are getting hyped up to see the number 3 and 6 rated 140-pounders in showcase fights against unranked opponents.

:think Monster Inoue is the guy I'd give the best chance of beating Gonzalez at 112

Agree. But that's always expected after a fighter gets a big win, fans just get excited and go overboard.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Monster Inoue pulled a Kellie Maloney later in life, he looks like an ugly Japanese housewife, look at his eyes they're kind of fruity.:deal

From what I saw yesterday the kid still needs some time before a step up against the elite. Estrada and Amnat are more interesting fights to me right now, could maybe throw Segura and Ioka in there too.

Pac's achievement is unbelievable from flyweight champion to welterweight champion I'm not sure if any boxer can duplicate or surpass that.

I favour Gonzalez over anyone south of Flyweight.

Gonna wait and see how his career pans out before throwing around statements like "he beats Canto, Perez and Wilde"

Now with Gonzalez's seemingly unbeatable status put to an end how does this change everyone's opinions on his overall career? I still think he's a legitimate ATG and compared to Lopez I'd say he's a notch above, and this coming from a Finitotard.

Concur...good point ^^^. The Chiquita and Carbajal were Big PPV Fights back then. Lopez should have jumped aboard.

Yeah, why doesn't Tapia get as much love around here as Finito? Fought from superfly to lightweight, three weight champ, went 46-0-2, fought better competition, and was fun to watch.

Chocolatito never had that career defining fight. His 2 best wins were close fights that could of gone either way (Estrada and Cuadras) he never granted them the rematch. Finito was the same age as Chocolatito when he faced undefeated Rosendo Alvarez and almost got upset himself, but Finito came back and beat a prime Alvarez. Both fights became classics. I give the edge to Finito. They should had hyped him the same way they did Chocolatito. Btw, Chiquita wanted no part of Finito when he beat Carbajal. They were both trained by Don Nacho Beristain, but kept away from each other. Both classy guys, but they disliked each other. Gonzalez always rubbed it in Finito's face that he was a main event fighter and Finito was not only an undercard fighter. Finito in his prime was whippin Dinamita's and Rafa's ass in the gym no doubt in my mind Finito would had defeated González and Carbajal. Idk about Carbajal, but González wanted no part of Finito.

Tapia was best at 115 Super Flyweight, he never fought at Junior Flyweight.
