How does someone beat Manny Pacquaio?

i'd say enough Defense + enough chin to take his power + plus a boxer puncher style + heavy hands

basically if Marquez had enough chin to take Pac's power, he'd of won both fights...

 

you keep your distance. Let him come to you. Wait till he tries to throw a punch, step back a little so that he pulls his punch back, then lead with a right hand and follow up in combination. Wash, rinse, repeat. Easier said than done.

 

It takes a "Great straight Right hand" to gain Manny respect.
(You can tell when Manny has your respect, he raises both arms in the air when he backs up)

Uppercuts also land well on Pacquaio, You needs balls the size of grapefruits to attempt it. Body work helps slow down any opponent, ^^But same Grapefruits are needed.^^

Bottoline someone with Heart = to Pac.
Skills & dancing with the stars might not be enough..

right...cuz Marquez, Morales, and Barrera had terrible jabs

 

Let him lead, box in angles, nail him between combinations to get him to hesitate and think twice. He still leaves himself open to get hit. He telegraphs his big shots a lot. A guy like Cotto or Mayweather will be able to expose this, Hatton proved to be nothing more than a dumb brawler. You have to think and have a gameplan against these better fighters, its not just balls to the wall. That crap worked with Tsyzu because he was ready to retire.

 

Marquez and Morales both beat him once. Granted, the jab isn't sufficient on its own, but it helps.

My take on Manny raising his arms in the air is him saying... "Yeah, that was a good punch, but as you can see... it didn't hurt me... so let's get it on."

Anyway back to the original question, the way you beat Manny (or any other boxer) is pretty simple... hit him while avoiding taking his hits.

It's going to be tough to beat Manny to the punch, so you're going to need good movement, good defense, and good counterpunching technique.
