I think 154 is actually a stronger division than 147. It's such a stacked division, Lara, 2 Charlos, Andrade, Trout, Williams, Canelo? I think Spence is far better off at 147, where I can't really see anyone beating him.
Lara hates body shots, even though Lara is better than the Charlos, I think the Charlos size advantage would give Spence fits, Lara/Spence are around the same size, and there's no way I see Spence getting past Andrade.
Styles make fights. Canelo gave Lara hell with those body shots(even though I scored it for Lara), and I consider Spence a better body puncher than Canelo.
Nobody likes body shots. Lara didn't show any I'll effects from canelos body attack. That tells us.... A) Canelo didn't land that many bodyshots B) Canelo is featherfisted C) Lara might not like bodyshots but can take them or D) all of the above D) would be my answer
Let's see how Spence does against elite 147lbs first. Beating this Bundu character hopefully is the last time we have to watch ES in the same ring against this caliber of opponent. Get your prime time KO & take your black belt Spence you will be promoted.
He'll be promoted, but not without a struggle first... people who are skipping his division entirely in place of a spot at 154 are crazed lunatics... he's got to get past 147 first before his deluded fans should make threads about it.... it's a slow process but he'll reach 154 in due time....
Spence is a very big WW . He will outgrow 147 one day and move up to conquer 154 . Lara is the 154 pound kingpin . In my eyes , Lara has not lost to any fighter yet . Spence will meet his match if he ever crosses paths with Erisandy Lara . I don't know which fighter would taste defeat if this Matchup was to ever take place . Erisandy is the kind of fighter that no man will ever look good against and would put every style of fighter threw HELL . Me personally , I would root for Spence .
