Duran would win if he is the fighter of the Barkley fight.

Pavlik just doesn't have that type of experience yet and Duran
would feint him all night long.

duran, close UD. as said before, the inexperience of pavlik would be the difference. He was INCREDIBLY hard to hit cleanly, as demonstrated by this fight, and he would pick his spots carefully. Pavlik's accuracy would be on display though and make it a tight contest.

The Duran of the Barkley fight on points.

Even then Duran was to savvy and old school for todays Pavlik.

Give Pavlik time though, the man isnt even in his prime years yet.

pavlik would win and win comfertably.

duran at middleweight was an average middleweight fighter , boxers respected his name to much and not what was in front of him.

iran barkey was a tough man, he was also glacier slow/ponderous and lacking in skills .

stop with this duran to experienced to good for kelly pavlik.

kelly pavlik would beat the duran that beat barkely IMO 99 out of 100 times.

duran had no power at 160
he was quite slow at 160
he lacked size and reach at 160

marvin hagler showed him to much respect.
    marvin haglers brother beat duran.
    paz beat duran from memory
i saw duran in many many fights during this period.
no way he beats a pavlik as a middle

pavlik is to long/has to much stamina and throws to many punches for this version of duran.

people are getting carried away with the name and not how duran looked during this period.

he was like a heavyweight toney to some extent.

great that a small /experienced man was fighting bigger men, but his punches had little effect and average quality fighters gave him 50/50 fights.

I don't know about this. Seems you could say the same for any fighter and this is a way of discrediting him.

If durans punches had little effect then why did he knock down barkley and paz? And why did he have many guys weary of his punches even at middle? (hagler included.)

    robbie sims was very average.

lawlor type of fight duran ok with
    pavlik.

i agree id put duran easily in the top 10 all time greats but not if his career was only at middle, i still think he would give pavlik one hell of a close fight though
