Has Bellew seen something in Usyk?

Tony has recently become very good at picking fights, and I don't see why he would be so keen for this one unless he thinks he's got a genuine chance.

Usyk isn't unbeatable as Maris Bredis came very very close to snatching that "0"

He is a brilliant technical fighter however

But Tony Bellew has made a career off proving people wrong

    What tactics will Caldwell prescribe

There is no possible way for Bellew to beat Usyk than a classic LUCKY PUNCH. Usyk is superior in every department (he probably has more power too but it isn't his style to throw those huuuuge hands all the time) of the game and recently a big punching guy who couldn't hurt him at all. I have to admit i think Bellew is more experienced than Gassiev so he might be a bit more dangerous but let's face the truth: Gassiev lost 12 out of 12 vs Usyk so being a bit better vs Usyk doesn't mean you have the chance to beat him. Maybe Bellew can grab a round or two but overall Usyk will cruise to an UD or even a late stoppage if Bellew doesn't want to eat more.

Bellew has a much better boxing brain than Gassiev, better footwork and a bigger heart than him. Usyk has more skill than Bellew (though Bellew has alot) and will win most rounds. I do believe Bellew will hurt Usyk at some point, its just a question when he does will he be able to take him out. He is capable of doing so, though it's a big ask. Bellews best chance is with his world class left hook.

Tony to take him to the ropes then throw those left and right hooks and wait for one to connect or he gets laid out in the crossfire. That’s the only way he will beat him.

This is a complete Myth. When has he proved anybody wrong, apart from Haye fanboys?
    Makubu maybe? That's it.

Bellew can try and box smart and employ some kidology and the sentiment of the loud, partisan crowd.
He can 'run' a bit whilst flashing a jab and spoiling/roughing up Usyk.
Usyk does have an orthodox stance and style and so some flash/shimmies/play-acting from Bellew could frustrate Usyk somewhat.
Usyk then begins to trade a bit more, coming out of his shell guard after fearing he has shared the opening few rounds and may even be behind on the cards.
With the crowd cheering every move Bellew makes and punch he lands, Usyk really turns up the heat and, after a couple of heavy shots land for each, a war breaks out.
Usyk begins landing stiff combinations, he goes in for another volley of shots, however, Tony has conceded the last couple of rounds, shrugging after each attack from Usyk, and is ready to put it all on the line right here.
Bellew gets inside and crushes Usyks short-rib with a huge left he doesn't see, with him doubled-over in pain, Tony lands a quick combo to body and head .Usyk down, he's not getting up!
    And the new......

I like Bellew I think he’s fun to watch but honestly I can’t see what he can do to win this fight, he is the best version of himself at CW but what has he done to really prove him and Usyk are at the same level. Bellows best wins at CW are Masternak (yeah it was good but if you want to be the best in the division you should beat that guy), Cleverly (who he dominated but wasn’t really a CW) and Makabu (all props to him for that everyone said he was the danger man of the division and he took him out, but in reality looking back would Makabu have beaten any of the CW’s in the WBSS season 1). Bellew did survive against a past it Haye and then only beat him once he was injured and then beat a clearly and severely injured David Haye in the rematch. So I really can’t see him doing anything against Usyk but maybe he hasn’t been given the opportunity to prove he can hang with likes of Usyk ? I think when Bellew retires even with all the stuff he has achieved I think he will kick himself for staying so long at light-heavyweight.

Outside of misfortune for Usyk, I don't see how Bellew can. He does literally nothing better. He likely has more power in one shot than Usyk but he'd have to land it clean. And I don't for a second believe he hits harder than Briedis or Gassiev

Usyk beats Tony 'Tuna Bake' Bellew and his mate David 'all day breakfast wrap' Price on the same night.

Bellew for years was talked about as being a "British level at best" fighter.

When he was brought down as a late replacement to face Nathan Cleverly and everyone said this guy is just a domestic level opponent and easy work for clev.

Then after tough fights with chilimba and being stopped as a weight drained skeleton vs Stevenson his career was "over"

Then moves up to CW and has "no power" and can't take CW punches

    Supposed to lose Cleverly rematch

Then supposed to lose to the first top 10 CW he fights

    Supposed to lose to masternak

Supposed to get ktfo by makubu

Supposed to get hospitalized by Haye twice

Supposed to "avoid genuine cruiserweights and go for money"

You either have a very short memory or only just started watching boxing because you clearly don't know anything about Bellews career.

(BTW Tony used to post on here which was great for us but he got driven off the site by hating trolls, it's time to stop disrespecting this man)

Thats total nonsense. You are literally talking shite. Just because a few trolls (like yourself) sensationalise things doesnt mean objective boxing fans think the same!

Also just started watching boxing? Why because i think you talk ****? haha I was actually at the first Cleverly fight!
