How the fck do you reduce Kovalevs chances down to punchers chance?
Hopkins was ancient, but nobody was able to shut him out as Kovalev did. Even BHop said that Sergei uses distance and feignting very well.
Ward on the other hand hadnt done anything note worthy since super 6.

 Even a pencil necked bean counter should realize that (1), Yes, BHOP was ancient. It's not surprising that the day came when at 50 years old he meet a talent that was slightly better than his ancient body could handle.

As to Kovalev having a puncher's chance, Ward isn't 50 years old and in this matchup I don't believe anyone thinks Kovalev is going to out box Ward. In fact, all you numb skulls believe Kovalev will simply over power Ward with explosive punching power. That sounds like a puncher's chance to me.

Kovalev even boxing wise is not an easy fight for Ward, combine that with his punching power and he'll have to be extra careful.

Ward's most important skills are his jab and inside fighting. Now, Kovalev himself has a really good jab and in terms of inside fighting, Kovalev is a big strong light heavyweight.

This is a really difficult fight for Ward, I'd be shocked if he takes it.

Nah, I just like humiliating him. It's fun. Especially when I gets to hang him with his own rope and bury him with the spade he kindly handed me from the trunk of his car. :rofl

I just don't see Ward just outjabbing and outhustling Kovalev to a victory as easily as he did say Froch. I think it'd be fairly quiet in the beginning, Ward would try to figure him out from the outside but Kovalev's own jab and range would be puzzling for him. both men will not be landing much but at some point Ward would get clipped, either by taking more of a risk or simply Kovalev would find target on one of his shots.. That's the way I see it.

Kov not comparable to Froch AT ALL. Froch has been outboxed in multiple fights. Hell Kessler,Dirrell and Taylor did in the Super 6 in 3 consecutive fights well before he faced Ward. We have not seen that in a Kovalev fight.
