How does Wilder beat Joshua?

AJ is very hittable , he has to use his jab overtime and move away from Wilder's right. Wilder? about as easy an analysis as possible,,,hit Joshua in the head

 

He could take him.out early like he's did to Brezeale and Stivern, or he could take him in to deep waters and let AJ punch himself out , which he has a bad habit of doing

 

Wilder would need to use his jab to keep the fight at distance. He has very little chance on the inside or trading, because defensively he's very poor and also doesn't use his feet well to set up angles. Of course, the recent version of Joshua has been content to sit back, which I don't like and works to Wilder's advantage.

I think it's ultimately up to Joshua. If he fights aggressively and is mindful of incoming fire on his way in, he can get Wilder out of there in 4-5 rounds. If he's patient and cautious, he leaves himself more vulnerable to getting hit with the right and also does not fight as well late the way Wilder does.

The one thing that's certain is that it's a different fight from Fury vs. Wilder. TF was able to see all the right hands and has the footwork to turn Wilder into a one-trick pony. I don't think Joshua is nearly as elusive, so he needs to do his work quickly. I think he can and probably would, but of course we'd all love to see the fight to find out for certain.

 

Plan A, and Plan A only. Wilder has 36 minutes to find his chin with a straight right. Same tactic he employed against Fury and Ortiz.

I believe that Joshua has an under-rated chin - he has fought some serious punchers (Klitschko, Whyte, Povetkin, Parker) and has taken punches and been fine. He was dropped by an ATG punchers money shot, and fair play he picked himself up and recovered.

It is a mouth watering fight - can Wilder connect? Can AJ pick himself up if so? Will it be enough?

I still think Joshua has the tools to stop wilder early. People forget that when Joshua gets aggressive he is a SERIOUS bully. He absolutely manhandled Wlad when he went after him aggressively. I think he would put that to use against Wilder too.

 

One thing that I feel is slightly overlooked is the pre-fight game. Wilder is very good at trash-talking his opponent's into a machismo mindset where they want to trade hands, which of course plays into the Bronze Bomber's, errr, bronze bomb. Coupled with a much better sense of timing his opponents then he typically gets credit for, and a left hand that always seems to prop up the opponent's chin and hide the right hand no matter how awkward and sloppy the set-up seems on the outside looking in, I think he has a much better chance than analysts are giving him.

Not to say this is an easy fight. I feel even the most die-hard Wilder fans will admit that AJ simply has more options as a fighter: though he is stiffer, he has better technique, better footwork, comparable (if not exactly equal) power and has been better tested by other power punchers in the division IMO. Wilder may have to weather another, even worse storm then Luis Ortiz. That said, if he can survive it (and that's not as big an if as people are saying), then he'll have his chance in the later rounds. If he can time Tyson Fury (even a 40% Tyson Fury) he can time anybody.

 

By finding lightening in a bottle early(unlikely) or surviving late and stopping a gassed AJ. I think AJ stopping him inside 6 is the most likely outcome but over the last year or so the fight has become a little closer in my head. 70/30 AJ

AJ finishes the fight when he wants and how he chooses.

Both povetkin and Klitschko had good spells when they were out boxing AJ but he is patient.

When he decides to step on the gas and get you out of there that's what he does with brutal combinations.

Wilder is a bum with a big punch, he has a punchers chance no more.

For me AJ should just go in there and knock this clown out within a few rounds, beat him up and get him in the back foot early.

Longer the fight goes on more chance for wilder to get lucky

Whenever wilder gets tagged he's backed up, Ortiz did it, fury did it even breazeale did it.

Soon as Joshua catches him for the first time wilder will stop in his tracks and AJ will finish the fight with combnations in a similar fashion to the Klitschko win.

 

Wilder is not a bum with a punchers chance.

How many punchers have failed to put AJ down?

Wilder is guaranteed to KO AJ if he lands his moneyshot I dont care how good you think AJ chin is... whereas AJ aint guaranteed to KO wilders with one shot. Ergo Wilder has more chance to survive an exchange.

Povetkin has power and accuracy and landed on AJ several.times.. did jack ****.... did he not have a punchers chance?

AJ is stiff as.****... Dillian Whyte has better headmovement than AJ for damn sure..
AJ barely moves out of the way from shots he just covers up.

 

All of us Wilder, Joshua and heavyweight boxing fans deserve better than just fantasising about this fight. Joshua and Wilder owe it to us and boxing to fight for the title of undisputed. It's so long overdue that it's now ridiculous.

 

One Joshua uppercut and Wilder will need someone else to feed him.

 

Use the jab. Wait for the counter. Don’t over commit, as that’s when he’s most vulnerable.

In essence he needs to fight his best fight, but with extreme caution, utilising the jab more.
