How does winning 11 rounds to 1 equal a struggle?

When Chisora fought Klit, that was a sanctioned prize fight? I thought it was a live youtube sparring session....

    1) Due to the fact that even rounds are so rarely scored, it is VERY common to win rounds when they are close, especially when you are the home town fighter. These rounds were a lot closer than the overall score card suggests.

    2) 11 - 1 is a little too wide towards Vitali. Official judges might influence the result on paper, but any credible boxing fan understands that the judges are often quite far off the reality of the situation.

    3) Vitali was on the backfoot almost the entire fight, and looked rather uncomfortable doing so. In fact, that was the most challenge he has had since Lewis, so it is understandable that people will pick up on that.

Vitali won the fight, but the scorecards don't reflect the reality of the situation very well. That's one of the first lessons that any boxing fan should learn...so your thread suprises me.

Did anyone expect Vitali to straight up blow Chisora out? We were mostly expectly a late TKO, but Chisora showed that his iron chin and iron will are here to stay.

I had it 9-3, but 2 of those rounds coulda been scored even. So a 9-1 2 even score would be acceptable to me. Vitali did not struggle persay, but he did have to bring his A game to win. But did anyone expect less.:think

I had it 10-2, not a struggle at all

Vitali only won a couple of the rounds easily. He obviously thinks so too because he wants a rematch. He won most rounds but this wasn't a typical 10-2 type dominant win, where it's a one sided fight. Vitali took a lot of punches and didn't look to be as dominant as people expected.

I don't really think much of it though. Chisora is greatly inexperienced and will become a better fighter. By that time, Vitali will he retired.

This fight just showed how flawed Vitali is. Had he been in with a more experienced Chisora, the result would have been a lot closer with Chisora possibly winning.

Give Chisora another 15 fights and wonder whether that version would beat Vitali.

Well, you were quoted before the fight as saying Chisora would be stopped in 3 and then that he wouldn't make the 7th. :patsch

Hard to say, but Cafe is clearly a more sound poster than you are.

uhhuh, but i dont think its too harsh to score it 8-4 or 7-4-1 in fact watching for the first time i had it 7-5 and couldnt believe the butt hugging comentator who scored it 11-1.
