    Hi everyone,
I´m a trainer at a gym here in Sweden and I just wanted to ask around how your training groups are devided in your gym.
    Does all matchboxers train together?
How many trainers are in charge of each group?
Does female and male boxers train in the same group?
    How big are the groups?
How does your trainingprogram look like?
    All the best

I match new guys together this way they can work together in teams. usally by a week or two one falls off and another comes into the gym.

we have a group of 20 there are four trainers so we split 5 each

Do females and mails train in the same group? yes

Training program looks somewhat like this
    4 rounds Shadowboxing
    4 Rounds Mitt work
    4 rounds Heavybag
4 rounds of double end bag
3 rounds non stop speed bag
3 rounds non stop skipping rope
Floor work sit ups and pushups
in total rounds they are doing 24 rounds of work every day, on sparring days which are Mod Wed and Fri they cut out the heavybag and put in atleast four rounds of work sparring. :good

    Hi bazooka_X3.

Thanks for your answer, you have a good schedule. Here at our gym we have little different, but still much the same.
The problem we have is that the trainers can´t work together here. One guy think he knows it all and won´t listen to anybody. Another is very old school and don´t know that much of different teqniques and stuff, didn´t know that you could throw an upercut with your jab arm (sorry, couldn´t find the english word for it:oops: ). This has done that two other trainers never shows up and I starting to get fed up with these two other trainers but I have to stay for the boxers sake.
Here is my schedule for my group:
    Shadowboxing 4 rounds
    Double end ball 3 rounds
Teqniqual training 4 rounds (Block, slip and slide, bob and weave, counter etc)
    Sparring 4 rounds
    Pads (mittwork) 4 rounds
    Heavy bag 3 rounds
    Skipping rope 3 rounds
    groundwork.
They do this 3-4 days a week.

Thanks for sharing your trainingprogram, it is always interesting to learn from others.
    All the best

Alot of trainers do think they know it all that is the downside to the game, I always tell my fighters I dont know it all and that I will be learning until the day I die. We do have four trainers at my gym one of them is an old grumpy ****er from Mexico who thinks he is the ****, but somehow gets humbled when he takes his pro to spar with Margarito, not humbled just put on the spot.
**** his fighter asked me to start working with him but I declined I do not like the fighters behavior in the gym, he almost always trys to tee off on the Amateurs when he spars with them just to show off for his wife. I dont play those games Gym bullies can eat worms for all I care:good
Then we have another trainer who is never there, it happens so really its me and one other guy who has been at this gym since it started and honestly the two of us work great together we dont always see eye to eye but we do learn from each other and that is the key its always great to learn with another coach.
    anyhow keep it up man.

    Hi Bazooka_X3.

I read yout post about how you have it at your gym and I couldn´t agree with you more, it is a real nice feeling to work together with someone that you can learn and share experiences with, unfortunally that is impossible for me right now. Hopefully it will come another trainer someday that will be possible to work with. But I will hang in there, it is hard but I love the game and I have to be there for the kids.
Nice to share experiences from our gym´s. I appreciate it, good program you had as well.
    Have a great day.
