A guy with a huge punch, a fighting heart (or just a huge chip on his shoulder) and not much else. Many claim he just beat up on welters but he was no big middle himself. He would be an entertaining championship calibre middle in any era.

I think this is fair. Great enough to be up there whenever in his division's history but not really on that short list of greatest champs.

Didn't he put Robinson down briefly?

yes he did,he was being punched into the ropes by Robinson and threw a big right hand and it landed towards the back of the head and dropped Robinson briefly.

im not being funny here but that right hand he hit SRR with was a real *******. It was just out of the blue while he was being on the receiving end of a good few punches on the ropes. Ok, SRR wasnt badly hurt and it was classed a flash knockdown, but it was a really great punch to watch.

A superb brawler who possessed real malice.

He wasn't Stanley Ketchel, but he wasn't too far off.

Say what you will about Graziano's lack of finesse but very few fighters would have dug a hole into Tony Zale as did Rocky.

ATG, no way. Not a top thirty all time middleweight. Today would fight at 154.

A huge punching, charasmatic brawler in a Gatti/Mugabi mold ...

"Graziano is considered one of the greatest knockout artists in boxing history with the capacity to take any of his opponents out with a single punch."

"No one ever hit me harder than Rocky (Graziano)" Sugar Ray Robinson 1953.

I was just about to post this quote. Sometimes a great punch will take you far, and especially if you have heart in spades.
