Pavlik would not have lasted 6 rounds with any of those guys! Think about the fact that Bhop destroyed Pavlik late in his career!

The MW division has lost all of its luster and value for the last 5 years! We have champions who don't come to the US, Champions most people haven't even heard of and Champions who defend their titles against low level competition every 9 months!

I really missed the days where boxer had true heart and love for the sport and wanted to compete and test themselves!

When you have a Champion saying "those guys are in that tournament fighting for peanuts" its a real sad day for the sport and that's the reason why boxing is dying! Atleast they have the courage to compete against one another!

Fellas hate to bust your bubbles but welter is the new middle. If there was still same day weigh ins where do you think most of these welters would be at today? Not to even start on the super or junior divisions.

    :good

Anybody know if there is truth to this?

Benn offered to fight 168 IBF champion Roy Jones in Roy's home town in a unification fight for Benn's WBC belt and even offered to give Jones the entire fight purse but Jones turned the fight down.

    Under "Second championship."

:yikes I find it hard to believe that Bute is lineal SMW champ. How is this possible when the most notable opponant he's faced is Andrade. Nup.

True, but you do eventually have to mix it up with US fighters to prove your worth. Except, of course, at HW.

Prime Benn vs pre-B-hop Pavlik would have been an awsome fight.

Wait 2 years until Golovkin, Pirog, Guerrero, Jacobs, Korobov, Lara, N'jikam all get to title contention. Golovkin, Pirog and Jacobs will all probably get a shot this year. We're on the cusp of a new golden age.

    Thats not what I said.

I said Benn or Eubank the two British fighters against Toney or Jones the two American fighters.

it be too one-sided, if Benn could survive Gman's onslaught he would of defintely handled Pavlik's.
