How effective is being an infighter for amateurs?

I've read that judges usually don't score infighting properly because they usually can't see what's going on. I characterize myself as the infighter type and feel most comfortable at close quarters. Plus, it's the most exciting thing about boxing for me, to go just toe to toe with another guy.

Is it wrong for me to be placing a major emphasis on infighting?

If your short your gona have to fight on the inside or your gona get picked off. But yeah judges dont score infighting very well. Body shots for that matter as well. :s

Infighting is very important these days in the amateurs, work on those uppercuts that snap the head back and you'll be racking up the points :good
