A 3rd Ortiz fight is utterly pointless in my opinion even more so than the 3rd Fury fight. We know who's better between Wilder and Ortiz, it would play out the same way. Ortiz out boxes him as Wilder waits til Ortiz's gas tank empties and slows enough for Wilder to catch him. It adds nothing to Wilder's resume, it's not a money fight it makes absolutely zero sense.

Whoever Wilder fights next I doubt it will be for peanuts, he's got probably a couple of fights left him and he will want to make as much money as possible which means a next fight that makes the public want the Joshua fight again. So I'm thinking Ruiz Jr is the most likely fight as if he can do what Joshua couldn't do and stop Ruiz then he at least has an angle to sell a fight with Joshua and a win over Ruiz would undeniably his best win to date and be reasonably lucrative.

Yup, Parker avoided all five of the right hands that Wilder threw.

Joshua beat Parker back in 2018. This is the new and improved Joseph Parker, though...

    .... Right?

Yes, it's very pathetic and childish.

I picked Wilder to KO or beat Parker on points, but I'm happy to acknowledge when I got it wrong and congratulate the deserved winner. I don't know why this is so hard for some people. Sad lives with little to cling to I'd wager.

Dude, it's just people discussing a boxing match on a boxing message board. Your little Dr. Phil shtick has no place here. There is no need to make personal comments about people's lives because they disagree with you.

    Don't be silly.

Yep same here, I thought Parker was past his best after the Joyce fight and while he would give Wilder all kinds of problems in the end he'd become more passive and give Wilder space to throw the right hand and when that happened Wilder would turn the fight around like he did vs Ortiz. But credit to Parker he never waned, never lost his focus and executed his game plan perfectly and so the right hand never came.

I was wrong, really wrong, it happens, even the best and most knowledgeable people on here, who know much more than me, get it wrong and get it wrong badly on here and when they do they are man enough to admit it they don't double down and make excuses.

If I did that every time my fighter lost and then didn't rewatch fights to understand why I got it wrong, I'd be as bad as I was when I first joined and get it wrong all the time, like when I thought David Price was amazing and Fury was trash, lol. Now I know better, because I learned where I went wrong, improved my understanding of the sport but people who refuse to give credit, refuse to admit they didn't assess the fight correctly will continue to be as clueless as I was when I first joined.

Here's the thing though... Maybe he was?

Maybe they're both past their best and Parker would always have beaten Wilder?

There's always lots of maybes with boxing! And it's always possible to have good reasons to think something and it just doesn't work out that way, too!

Wilder didn't come to fight he came to survive & get paid. No real need for drawn out video analysis

i remember defending Parker last month before the fight, and that is boxing community don’t give him credit. If Parker was a ufc fighter or a kick boxer with his record, he would be a big star.

he’s only lost to elites and two of them by decision and one late stoppage. Wilder was padded asf. People made wilder’s resume out to be great for beating an old man Ortiz. Wilder has always been a very sloppy guy with the gift of power, Parker just has better foundational boxing.

I would always have picked Povetkin to stop Wilder cold.

Not a corner stoppage, but out for the count...several minutes long nap...smelling salts...maybe even a stretcher.

I think Wilder knew that too, hence they never met.

Parker threw 1-2`s than grabbed Wilder, Deontay needs to retire, boring fight with very little action.

I don't think too many would label it boring.
