How exaggerated are boxer's heights?

Tyson's height is a popular topic; though I believe it's been resolved that he's in the 5'10 area.

Williams is of the same mould as Hearns; his height is imposingly tall and makes him quite an avoided opponent, so they tend to scale DOWN his height.

Khan gets dropped as a legit 5'10, some say 5'11, when i've had multiple accounts from people I know (and trust), who say he's 5'9 in shoes.

Overall I think it's fair to say that if there's any doubt, they're usually about an inch shorter than they're listed as.

 

Ive met Junior witter and ryan rhodes they are listed at 5,7 and 5,8 respectively , but there are at least 3 inches difference when next to each other . Witter is probably 5,5 tops.

Vitali is every bit as tall as he is billed, unless Lamar Odom is shorter than he is billed (6'10" for Odom, so 6'8" for Vitali)

Chris Areolla listed as 6'4" is laughable, dude is 6'1" max

Khan billed as 5'10" when 5'11" Calzaghe towers over him by a good 4 inches

I've met Tyson and I think he is 5'9. Maybe 5'9.5. I LOL every time I watch a Tyson fight. He was listed as 5'11.5 back then. Andre Ward was listed at 6'1. I think he is only 6'0 because we looked the same height. I'm damn near 6ft.

 

Lemme settle Manny's height, once 'n for all, c. I'm 5'7.5". We're exactly the same height. Check out the pic of me standing with him:

Scout's honor, I'm 5-7.5. AT 5-4, I could scurry through the cat door at home.

 

an inch or two just like in the nba or any sports for that matter....

 

it's hard to just take anybody's word as to heights. i have a friend who insists i'm 5'9 because he has himself at 5'7. another one insists i'm 5'6 only. i have had my barefoot height taken many times and it plays around 5'8 in the morning and smallest at 5'7.5 in the evening.

i have my height at 5'8 and i've seen donaire up close. i say he's about 5'6. it depends on the shoes ones wearing too which could take away or add an inch.
