All Boxing Fans have their favorite fighters and people here tend to make the most
of their fighters, as a fan I can understand that. but, fans of certain fighters also
overlook their fighters faults and records. Is it because they are looking at a certain
fighter with rose coloured glasses and not looking truly at the bigger picture. Just
asking a serious question here. Why do fans as well make certain excuses for their
fighters? A loss is a LOSS! Given a loss by injury in my eyes is different then a KO
loss.Am I right or wrong in thinking this? Serious debate please!

My responce in the thread : Vitali, Lewis or Wlad

Quote "In Order : Lewis, Vitali, Wlad. I would add as a fan of both Lewis & Vitali,
Lewis and Vitali are a toss up. Before you *****, Lewis Ko'd 2 Times, Vitali never
Ko'd, yet lost 2 times due to injury. A loss is still a loss for ANYONE! But I think in
analyzing any fighter against another fighter you have to break down those losses
and how they lost! Again, before you *****, a loss due to to injury in my eyes is
better then a KO loss. How do Lewis and Vitali stack up against equal fighters, we
will never know as we only have who they both fought against to judge each other
by and their fight against each other.

Most fans will not judge by a fighters abilities or his record, but will make excuses
for a fighter in a certain fight, that is being biased and 99% of the people on ESB
are GUILTY of THAT! I could go on about both and who they fought and who they
did NOT and why they did NOT! That works for both VITALI AND LEWIS! They both
had there ups and downs and if H2H you could have 2 guys share one spot (Impossible)
I think it would be Lewis and Vitali.

Before you go nuts responding with your biased opinion for a certain fighter. Post
your serious responce and I will respond to it with my serious thoughts. Could not
make a descion on the poll as I can't put Lewis and Vitali both as my pick. Would
be lying if I picked one over the other!

Just My Thoughts, Peace! " End Quote"

Not looking for responces from those that can't seriously debate the
questions I asked. Looking forward to some serious responces.

    Thank you!

There is a huge difference between being a fan and being a fanboy nuthugger.

Miguel Cotto is my favorite active fighter, followed by JMM and Ward. Cotto has never possessed speed equal to Manny and Floyd. I think Manny asking for a catchweight was a bit of a ***** move, but likely not the determining factor in that fight.

JMM is just a joy to watch. As a boxing fan, he delivers it all: great technique and a willingness to mix it up.

Ward is young, a true sportsman, and took on a tremendous risk when he signed up for the Super Six. He lacks a little power and deserves a little criticism for fighting most of his fights in Oakland, though.

Well I rate Oscar around top 70/80 atg and Floyd top 50 so I feel I'm pretty reasonable when ranking fighters, whether I'm a huge fan or just respectful of their accomplishments.

Even Hopkins who I totally despised at one point, I rank top 30 or so

So True! I like Miguel Cotto as well. I like alot of boxers from different weight classes. Like Pac & Floyd
but, the same there with their fans. Hope I am getting my point accross right so all understand it!

You must be able to be subjective

    My fav fighter is barrera
But there is no denying he legitimately lost to JONESx2 and Pacquiao would beat any version of MAB. Styles make fights

There is nothing worse then people who refuse to consider anything other then there the greatest of all time
