Firstly Congratz to Alex and team lionheart :good

After a great win last night over Okhello Peter by 3rd round KO the question now is - How far can Alex Leapai go?

The answer for me is easy....he's going to get a title shot after 1 or 2 more good wins (OK 3 at the most :D)

With solid wins over former World title challengers Darnell Wilson, Owen Beck and now Okhello Peter, Alex is set to fight an eliminator sometime soon.

Okhello stepped in to Fight Leapai after promotional issues delayed Alex fighting a high profile American on the Chris John card....this Amercian, who has fought for a world title has made his intentions clear that he's now available to fight Alex and is now free of any promoter restrictions.

Considering Alex is managed by Noel Thornberry who has setup 6 or 7 World title fights for his charges, I think we will see Alex in a World title shot within 12 months :deal

I have no doubt if he wins his next few fights he will get a shot....the big question is can his courage and power cause a big upset on the World stage?

Again I will say yes :good

Put him in against McCall - see if he can fare better than Hoppa did.

I hope someone can post a quick rundown of how the fight went down...Peter has only been stopped once before by a prime Meehan so a third round KO is huge IMO

I wld like a fight with Kali Meehan to take place, this will show if he is any chance against the top 10

I can confirm both sides want this fight....just need the right terms from a promoter to make it happen

IMO it would be the biggest HW fight in AUST for ages....hope it gets worked out for Aussie fight fans

It might be the biggest HW fight an Australian has competed in since Aussie Joe Bugner and Frank Bruno fought

BTW Aussie Joe, Leapai and Meehan......... any of these guys actually born here :think

I'd like to see him fight someone in the top ten first before I'm a believer.

Lets see Alex v Kali before we start talking world titles. It would be the best fight to see how far Alex can go. He certainly has the power.

Samoan born and raised in Australia from the age of eleven, Alex prides himself on honouring his two home countries and looks forward to the day of declaring a world victory for the land 'Downunder'. To get to this level of boxing he trains hard, working with people experienced in the science of boxing, when Alex reaches peak fitness and spars quality international boxers his preparation will be on track to contend against world class heavyweights. Keen to step it up and take on more high profile fighters Alex moves forward with Noel and team Leapai standing firmly by his side.

How does one move forward when there are people standing firmly by their side? Wouldn't the people at the side get left behind? Shouldn't they be moving forward too? So many questions...

Leapai should be aiming to fight either Meehan or David Tua who are both from the region and are well known heavyweights overseas.
