It was two fights before, against Barros that Selby lost his mum @EJC83 . Don’t think that’s fair putting that on Warrington.

Your right there, it was barros. I was trying to think back as I knew it wasn't the Warrington fight. I remembered the controversy over barros pulling out because of the medical but forgot that was the time Lee lost his mum.
There was some real rivalry that started brewing between Lee and Josh and to be fair to Josh it was Lee who crossed the line first, from then on it went back and forth.
Josh did get a bit irated with Lee and this showed leading into the fight but these were young men getting ready for a big showdown and I'm sure people can understand that sometimes it's hard to be mr nice guy. Joshs dad said it best at one of the interviews, " it not in the nature if either of these lads to be nasty and obnoxious but there's a big fight looming and tensions can rise. I'm sure they'll both shake hands after the fight and all this will be forgotten.
They did hug after the fight and I'm sure They are both on friendly terms now.

I think it’s a stupid question really. How far can he go? He’s world champion! He’s at the pinnacle. Anything else is an elite feat. I think he could move up and do well too.

Only two fighters in the 60s were undisputed in the division. Can he unify two of the belts, yes I don’t see why not. Can he unify the division, probably not but no shame in that.

I think he would beat Rigondeaux, he's 38 and has had 1 easy win since the Lomachenko loss

Not like he fights at a fast pace either. Think Warrington could just overwhelm him and be too strong for him.

Would be another perfect timing fight for him imo.

I wouldn't write him off, he seems to be stepping up each time he gets in the ring. The version that fought Frampton would give anyone at that weight a tricky night I reckon.

Perfect timing I agree. Another big name on his resume. It would be a tough fight but I think his amazing stamina would get him through, he’s just absolutely relentless.

Right now, at this exact point in time, the more I think about it the more I'd back him against anyone in the division, I think he has too much energy in him for all of them.

Selbys mother died during the build up to the Barros fight so Warrington didn’t do anything to disrespect lee selby. Don’t forget selby basically said Warrington would be a walkover so he got his just deserts.

But he is a world champion so he is more than a British level fighter. Warrington is better than a lot of people give him credit for .
