...in the WW div. Do you guys think that he can, someday, be the undisputed WW champ or will he be a bust. With his physical attributes, youth and Roach's careful guidance, there's a good possibility he can achieve this. I'm not talking about now but in the future. Opinions anyone?

I think far, if he can create a very effective defense for his chin. He has good skills, reach, power and some of the best speed in the game.. Also has a good 1, 2, and 3 and very very good stamina. I think he will be king at 140

i think khan got the attributes to be top dog at light welter, but to gain credibility you need to fight guys in that divsion rather than making lightweights consistently move up in weight.

fight bradley and alexander. become unified. make a defnce or 2

then move up and by then pac and may will e retired so he will nb able to fight berto for starters

i can see the above mentioned fioghters sharing some epic wars as they are all talented

I don't think he'll be fighting Bradley anytime soon. Bradley is moving up in the WW div.

Not far, unless he's VERY carefully matched - as he has been since his glass jaw got exposed. They have to keep him away from ANYBODY who has any KO power whatsoever. Which is exactly what they've been doing.

They're bringing him up slowly but surely which is a good move. At his age, why feed him to the wolves this early. Besides, he was willing to take on Maidana, Alexander and Bradley. Sooner or later, if he wants to be among the elite, he will have to face these so called KO artists.

So far he's had three fights at LWW where he's fought one mandatory, two consensus top eight light welters and zero lightweights....

True, and that will be the end of his run at the top. Trust me, his management is going to avoid that as long as possible. They'd be insane not too. Khan's chin is the worst I've seen on a rated fighter in 30 years of following the sport. Paper-mache' probably has more punch resistance.

I can see it going either way; he's talented, very talented, but only in certain departments. He seems to have a lot of ... anti-talents where he seems inherently **** at some things. Like ring IQ and footwork - which can only be improved so much.

    That and his horrendous chin.

He's looked good against guys that lack the talent or firepower to properly fight back so it's compeltely feasible that he comes apart and wilts against someone who can stop him coming forward and get him thinking.

There's also the possibility he goes on to mop up the division with his skills (e.g. handspeed), though I cant see him getting through all of them without a blip.

I don't think he has much multi-weight poteintial - maybe he can snipe a belt at welter off a weak guy but he won't go higher I don't think. I heard someone here mention he should go all teh way up to middleweight - can you see him against people like Jermain Taylor?! (back in the day obviously).

How much have you upgraded your assessment of Khan after his failure to be knocked out by Malignaggi as you confidently predicted?

lol, there's nothing new there - that'll happen w/ any fighters with a weakness, thats the magic of matchmaking

Roach will continue to fine tune him and continue to work on his defense. He's young, got all the great physical attributes, and unlimited potential. The only thing Roach cannot change is one's fighting spirit. That solely comes from within... and ultimately i think thats gonna dictate his performance and resilience vs the top elites
