I haven't seen much of this Derric Rossy before (I am watching his fight with Carl Davis Drummond as I type this) and was wondering how far everybody thinks he can go with the heavyweight division being what it is today? It is early in this fight with Drummond, but so far he doesn't look TOO bad. Not top 10 worthy from what I have seen, but perhaps he can make some noise and a few bucks?
IMHO, I think Rossy doesnt make it very far...I've last saw him in there with Chambers and he was getting blasted...He didnt have good stamina for my liking nor did he have the skill set for my liking...Maybe I'm being a little hard on him but I truly think he doesnt make it far. Thats just me though!:good
Actually, to be honest with you, as this fight vs. Drummond progresses, I am starting to think the same thing about Rossy. However, I thought it was pretty cool that he spent time with Shaolin monks in China, haha. I never hear of boxers doing so.
To be honest I don't think John Ruiz is a better talent then Rossy and look how far he went with a blue collar attitude.
Drummond was hopelessly out of shape for the Rossy fight. If Drummond had been in the same shape he was for Chagaev, then Drummond would have beaten Rossy without any problems.
