Too early to tell, but I think he'll probably just get to a similar level to Skelton or Danny Williams.
if, and its a big if he is properly matched then he can get to world top10 maybe not champion, but a decent operator. he needs rounds under his belt to prepare him for title fights, divs rolling over for him inside 3 rounds are not going to help him, he needs to be fighting durable opponents who will fire back my next 5 perfect fights for him would be McDermatologist ( he makes my skin crawl) Sam Sexton/Rogie winner, Sprott, Danny Williams, and lets say Sosnowski, if was to come through those 5 with 5 wins and 5 KOs Id be impressed.
I think people are being a bit harsh on his level of opposition to date. Granted the last guy was awful..... but after seven fights he has faced a guy with a pulse.... more than Hatton, Calzaghe et al did.
I think he will go quite far as he has the attribute that only few heavyweights do and thats he can take a mighty shot. (see link below) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nh_h0E9bpNU So after watching that i think tyson will go far and he is funny as **** when interviewed. Good luck to him
still makes me laugh when i see that vid, id like to see how tyson takes a shot 1st, but he does tend to flp a bit when someone actualy lets them go at him
Agree! I don't think his heart is in it half the time either, he came into his last fight the other week totally out of shape and openly admitted he hadn't been training properly - Barry McGuigan who was the pundit on ITV4 looked disgusted and didn't have too many nice words for Tyson at all. I think he's got enough skill to win at British and maybe European level but as soon as people start landing shots back at him at world level I think it'll be curtains for Tyson. :hi:
He needs someone that will make him go the rounds. Conditioning may be an issue as he does look flabby round the mid section. You think he has power? it's hard to tell because his fights so far the fighters clearly didn't like being hit at all. He's not knocking anyone out though so his power seems to be average maybe a bit more. Really good speed though and tall.
I dont buy his 'nobody will fight or spar with me' claim. Imsurprised there are not domestic heaviesd queing round the block for him..
He needs proper training methods rather than novice coaches who are clearly not teaching him well. The guy needs to get in touch with Hayemaker, go to Germany or the U.S.A where he can get a top quality nutritionist, boxing coach and strength coach. Main goals for this year- Improve form - I.e punch in straight lines, learn to move the head whilst punching. Lower BF to around 10% Get better quality sparring -
McDermott is terrible. Fury will beat him with ease. He could go far if he starts taking his training more seriously
Fury won't make it past David Price, Audley, Chisora or even Sprott. He is so grossly over rated its breathtaking.
