To tell the truth though, He's been knocked down by some relatively light hitting punchers. One was a slip that was incorrectly ruled, another was a forearm to the face (!) but he's still been hurt by relatively light hitting guys. He has a habit of sticking his chin out and being "macho" and paying the price. That would be my worry against a bigger hitter.

Exactly! That is why he will go as far as Juanma, that is when he will be stopped.

Till his chin lasts him? wtf are you talkin bout, his chin is fine. I have never seen gamboa hurt. EVER. I've seen him on the canvas but not hurt. He's knocked down either becouse of balance or he rushes in too fast. not becuase he was dazed. So tell me why you would make such a ******ed statement?!

He may get knocked down...but he gets back up ready to fight at once and he'll get right back in his opponent's grill. He reminds me of Calzaghe in that regard, and if he shows a level of recovery close to that level, he'll be in great shape. Either way, even if he gets stopped at some point, it's not going to stop him from developing into at least a beltholder. He's got too many other positives to not achieve at least that level of success.

Against Darling Jiminez. After the KD he was hurt, got caught with ANOTHER big punch and then hold on. He was hurt. I'm pretty sure I also justified his other KDs pretty well (the slip ruled incorrectly and the forearm shot)...but the guy was hurt against Jiminez, He recovered of course but he was hurt.

I'm one of Gamboa's biggest defenders here. Stop being amazingly defensive.

Yes, he has top 10 P4P talent. Whether he gets there is another question. He really needs to resolve his footwork issues, although they looked a lot better against Rojas.

Darling wasn't the one who knocked him down with the elbow shot. He was hurt afterwards and an elbow shot had nothing to do with it.

sorry for not answering quickly, i wasnt home, after i rewatched what you are saying i guess you are talking about the left hook he got caught at 1:40 of the 4th round, we might see different but i seriously doesnt see him hurt, after the hook he took, he throws a straight right to the head which doesnt land and the he clinch, then he goes backwards and throws a 1-2 and doesnt land either and then he clinch again... i doubt he is hurt i dont see him hurt but we might see different... In all honestly i dont see him hurt at all...
