I'm just rilly curious cause there's some very knowledgable mofo's on this site that have impressed the hell out of me on quite a few occassions. I don't have any mad bragging rights on this dealio. I didn't start liking boxing until shortly after SRL became pro.

Share with us how long you've been wrapped up in this. :bbb

Well. Im 21, and my first boxing match that I watched completely was DLH-Vargas and Ive been hooked since. I didn't pay much attention to details for awhile but what really thrust me into absolutely LOVING the sport was Roy Jones beating John Ruiz and Ive been absolutely loving every moment since then.

I grew up in boxing..I dont really ever not remember watching fights...Most of the fights in my early thoughts are all local fights in SoCal. We have a picture of me my dad and his twin brother in front of a sign that said "Main Event Pipino Cuevas vs Clyde Gray" that fight was in 1977 I was 4 years old:good

To make it a short story (not a long one since alot of people are not interested fully on how i got interested in boxing)

It all started in 2000 when i rented knockout kings, after playing the game i felled in love with it, i became familiar with the game.

after returning the game i went on to my computer and researched my favorite boxers on the game which were (ali, spinks, leonard, duran, tua, mosley and mayweather), and from there i got hooked on.

then after watching tito get demolished by hopkins i lost that passion for boxing for 5 years (until 2006).

on 2006 i saw my first boxing fight since vargas/dlh in 2002 which was pacquiao/morales I or II i'm not sure... after that i said to myself "let's see if theres a place out there to discuss boxing, so i googled ''boxing forums'' and ESB was the first to pop up! :happy then i joined and from there i never lost my passion for the sport! :D :happy

Thanks for posting. When I started gettin' into boxing it was a rilly great time to do so, I guess? It was truly a great era for the sport and I have some fond memories.

My favorite KO was Hearns/Duran. It never fails, everytime I see that I cringe a little. Ha! Great stuff.

I was born in 1990, I saw the Lewis - Tyson fight, then the Vargas - De La Hoya fight. It wasn't until this past year when I started boxing myself that I began to understand all the strategy behind boxing, and learned what "The Art of Boxing," was. Since then I've loved it.

My dad got me and my brothers interested. Born in '86, I remember watching Holyfield, Tyson, Chavez, and Foreman among others. I became a hardcore fan in '03 after watching Vitali/Lewis. Considering I knew nothing about Vitali and was subsequently impressed by him, it prompted me to learn more about international fighters. Many of them have even become my favorites. I'm basically a boxing addict now.
