If he actually does become a top 10 which i don't believe he will, he can be a champion. As long as he doesn't fight Fury or Jalolov it's within the relm of possibility. His short size is blasted out of proportion. He's like Povetkin size
Just a guess, fringe contender, possibly gets rated briefly in the upper top ten (something like 9 or 10) then maybe gets a payday in a losing effort, has a couple of additional wins against journeymen, gets beaten by another top ten guy etc. To be fair its still very early days for him in his pro career.
Tv friendly guy falls short of top 10 I think hes small lacks a big punch and mixes it up too much and suffered a nasty cut in his debut I think his success as an amateur stems from short fights where he set a high pace but I don't think that will work in the pros
All the way. He's already made the Olympic final & is only a young bloke. He's aggressive, punches hard & faced everyone there was to face in the amateurs. Being a southpaw won't hurt him either. I'd say he will definitely win an alphabet belt at some point. Can he be the legitimate lineal H/W champ? Possibly. I think he'll be developed well by Top Rank. It doesn't matter how much talent you have - you need to be fed the right opponents in order to progress. I'd say he will be.
Hes a white mexican like Alvarez so maybe Sulaimaan will do everything he can to get him the WBC title We know Sulaimaan has his favourites. and Wilder will be long gone by then.
You folk are underrating Torrez. With his power, athleticism, southpaw stance and high energy style he will definitely be a nightmare for most of the heavyweights in the future. He will be of the darkhorses of the division.
