Ok I'll take on board what yors are saying but Canelo has clay feet. He can only plod around.

He has a poor engine and couldn't do anything to try and outwork Floyd.

He has slow hands as well.

I don't see the next Mexican super star.

I think he was pretty impressive. He used his jab well, managed at times to put some decent pressure on Mayweather. It's like you guys don't understand how bad Mayweather makes people look.

for any knowledgeable boxing person and not someone new to the sport canelo hasnt gone down at all.

hes the same jmw that is no better than rosado, kirkland, lara, vanes and molina.

statistically, canelo did not better than a faded cotto and contender robert guerrero.

he looked every bit the average fighter that he is.

The reality is, Canelo isn't in Mikey's class(he's beneath Mikey) and never will be.

Mikey is a Mexican(Mexican American, really) Mayweather(meaning not flawed), and a bigger puncher. He almost certainly will be world champ in 3(+) divisions. Too bad he's not from Mexico to have the hype machine behind him.

Just a matter of reality catching up to Canelo.

He didn't. He fought one of the best fighters we've ever seen and didn't do well. Same as everyone else. Just cause Floyd beats them doesn't make them garbage, unless you're a hating *****. With that being said, he has a few areas to work @ but he'll be fine.

It has nothing to do with Canelo it just Canelo is fighting the best fighter in the world. Canleo look good against guys he fought since they presented no challenge to him and this was the first time he went against a fighter that is superior to him in every category. It's not Canelo fault that Golden Boy and the media hype Canelo up to be this monster that is going to give Mayweather his toughest test. Was it to soon to fight Mayweather? No since the opportunity presented itself but now he needs go back to drawing board and pick himself back up since he's only 23 and he has a lot of fights left in him.

He hasn't lost anything IMO. Still young enough to grow, and dominant enough to take back over within a year or two.

No. Mikey is the better fighter. Canelo is not the best current Mexican fighter
    just the most popular.

Haven't seen the fight (and probably won't get to for awhile), but hope this is the case. How was his stamina? That seems to me to be one of his flaws. Did it improve any?

His weight advantage is more of a disadvantage against Mayweather he's never been good at pressuring even undersized fighters and his weight just slows him down. I thought he was pretty sharp at times and showed some decent head movement but Mayweather's just too accurate, he's no Trout.

He's still undefeated so I don't know what you're talking about.
