he might be past his prime physically but the man is such an intelligent fighter who is probably still learning a lot of things even in his age.

Also keep in mind that his style of fighting also promotes better longevity than what guys like Erik Morales did.

 

He fights like he's in it so, but fans should realize by now age does not determine actual age in the ring.

 

Yep, ring intelligence makes up for any loss of physical prime, like a Bernard Hopkins, and extreme work ethic and dedication as well.

 

Physically? He's not in his prime obviously.. the early rounds of the Diaz fight proved that..

Mentally? Strategically? Technically? He's in the absolute prime of his career.

 

He's a bit past it. It's obvious his reflexes were a bit slower against Diaz.

 

his reflexes were slightly past his prime but his style is still progressing. he is not just a pure counterpuncher anymore which is good for him

 

Basing it off his last 5 fights beating guys like Barrera,Pacquiao,Juarez,Casamayor and Diaz you would say yes but physically yes he has lost alittle.

 

Looking at all the shots he took in his last two fights should either show he is past it or is fighting above his weight. Now imagine that frame with ten extra pounds to lug around.

He is only past his physical prime. He is still not over the hill, though.

 

It's a similar case to Bernard Hopkins. Physically they are probably past prime, but the way they apply themselves, the fact that are great technician's means they are still as good as they have ever been, and for that reason I say he's still primed. Until he is both slightly past his physical and also mental/technical prime, I can't vote for any other option.
