How far away are these guys from their peak year where they have the best mix of physicality and experience? The time when they are at their all-round most dangerous?

    1) GSP

    2) Anderson Silva

    3) Jon Jones

    4) Cain Velasquez

    5) Rashad Evans

    6) Forrest Griffin

GSP is in his physical prime right now.
Anderson is slightly passed it I'd think.
Jones will enter his peak in a couple of years (which is ****ing scary to think)
Velasquez seems like he is there.
    Evans is there.
Griffin's prime was in the Anderson Silva fight

Some could argue that GSP is just now coming into his peak, let alone being in it. Scary.

    1) GSP - I think he's in his peak and wont get any better, the only question is how long will he stay there. A while Im guessing

    2) Anderson Silva - Probably on the downward side of his peak, but no less formidable and will be very difficult to beat

    3) Jon Jones - Who knows, on the up I guess, scary thought to think he'll improve. I have a suspicion injuries may take their toll on his longevity as this happens to every fighter at the highest level who start young

    4) Cain Velasquez - Untested, but probably hasnt reached his yet

    5) Rashad Evans - Downward, but trains hard an diligently so not expecting a massive slide.

    6) Forrest Griffin - Those wars and years punishment and of being a gym rat will catch up too him within the next few fights. Expecting a Wandy/Chuck type slide soon.

    Ok..

GSP and Anderson Silva might be on the start of the slide. Not saying they are going to get beat in thier next fight. But just feel it's on the start.

Evans is at it right now.

Cain and Jon hasn't hit it yet, but are that good.

    Griffin is on the slide.

GSP and Velasquez are probably both peaking now, Silva is past it but is so damn good that he's still winning, Jones has yet to peak, Evans is slightly past it, and Griffin probably only has a few top-level fights left in him.

Why is Griffin included with the rest of these fighters?

GSP - his overall peak was 2007-2009, he is slightly past-prime now but not in a major way, still capable of performing at a very high level

Anderson - his overall peak was 2006-2008, he is slightly past-prime now but not in a major way, still capable of performing at a very high level

Jones - his physical peak is now, he cannot have reached his overall peak because he has not yet gained the experience of how to fight his way through difficult situations. He will reach this peak in the next 2 years or so

Velasquez - he is at his peak in every way right now

Evans - I think his peak year was 2008, hasn't looked like the same fighter since he got stanky-legged by Machida in '09. Slightly past-prime, but still capable of performing at a good level

Griffin - Past his prime now. No longer the fighter he was in 2007-2008. Still capable of performing at a good level though
