Sly's favorite team or just popular culture? The Steelers were NFL royalty in the mid 1970's, winning four titles in six years. A question I have on the running is did they speed up the camera's during Stallone's sprint in Rocky 1? I think they did I hear there is a new Rocky movie that places Rocky in the role of mentor again. Been there, done that, and it wasn't very good.
The jacket thing I brought up because it was shot in Philadelphia and the Eagles fans are hardcore partisan. The new 'Rocky' movie is called 'Creed.' I assume he is mentoring Apollo's son or grandson. I saw one commercial for it this week.
I got that in terms of the jacket. The film probably rounded up a bunch of kids and didn't mandate a wardrobe. Sorry Eagles fans, the Steelers were pretty popular when the movie was filmed. As for the new movie, Rocky post IV has lost its new car smell. I'll share a Stalone story as he was based not too far from me years ago. Stallone is much shorter and slimmer than you think. Maybe he's about 5"8" tall. After losing patience with golf, he wanted to take fly fishing. A buddy of mine has a friend that is an accomplished fly fisherman with some Hollywood connections, so off he went to Stallone's Miami based home on the water. To say Sly did not have the skills or patience for fly fishing was an understatement. He gave up a few lessons rather but the first time he did a cast correctly he hummed the Rocky tune. His way I guess to make fun of himself. He also uses words like YO.
