How far up in weight can Pavlik go?

The question is: why should Pavlik want to move up in weight?

Pavlik has physical advantages at MW, he's bigger and stronger than most other MWs out there. Yes he's tough and has decent skills too, but honestly his skills or speed are not exceptional. They're good, not more and not less. Now if he moves up in weight he will lose his two biggest assets: his height/reach advantage and his punching power. Because at SMW and LHW he will face fighters that are just as big as him and who can hit just as hard or even harder. Not very smart to lose these assets.

So as long as he is able to make 160lbs, he should stay at MW imo.

2 Divisions max. He is in the bigger divisions and the differences are not 3 or 5 pounds as in the latino-divisions.

2 divisions up is his max. Which mean SMW and LHW.

It's hard to tell at this point. I would like to see how his body responds to 168 and 175. If he fills-out nicely, then maybe CW. Either way he needs to move-up pronto, sucking-down to 160 is probably doing damage that will surface later in his career.

i think he'll be better at SMW and should stay there until he's 30 odd, then move to LHW. No higher than that. He's not Toney.

175 I think, but let's not get ahead of ourselves & let him clean out the middleweight division first!
