So, how far (in your opinion) will frankie gavin go?

    To the VERY top imho.

It's going to be interesting in a few years to see how his career pans out.

Will also be interesting to see if he gets matched with u.s prospects gomez & benavidez in a few years time, as they are touted as being able to 'go all the way' as well, and they are in the same weight class (i think they are anyway).

(Btw, this thread has probably already been done, but i'm new here ;).)

Very hard to say, he has all the skills needed it's just wait and see really. I realyl hope we will be following him in big Vegas bills in the next five years.

Good Technique, very good Chin, Great Boxing Brain and good eye. Great control, best prospect Ive seen in twenty years, will start punching harder in a bit. With a bit of luck should win an Area Title :rofl

Multi-weight alphabet holder. If not ruling those weights and a high spot on the mythical P4P rankings

honestly the only thing that can stop frankie gavin becoming a world champion is himself.

one thing i worry about is he does seem quite small for a light welter.

Great prospect, just hope FW keeps him busy, at his current level he needs to be fighting regularly 6 times a year and getting pro experience also getting top level sparring in the US

Its in his hands thats for sure!

He is very talanted and has shown a good chin already. I worry about cuts a little, but there is still time to fix his style. The way he comes across on here it seems he wont get success bring his ego OTT.

    wish him all the best

he's fast skillfull, elusive, and seems to have a lot of hunger in him to go on and win a title. what i like about him is he's not flashy in any way, he just gets the job done. very eficient with his punches and very rarley misses. his only problem is his lack of power. sometimes he looks like he's tip tapping. but that might improve as he matures. havnt seen that gomez yet but im hearing good things about him. hopfully they will move up 2 welter with khan, brook, alverez and jones. would be amazing for them to all fight each other.

im telling you talent wise there boxing is looking very rich at the moment. great for the future.

The guy has everything in the ring the one thing which will decide just how good he will be is his temperament and ability to box to a game plan especially at world level ! .... let his boxing talent take him to the top and dont get wound up or fall foul of tysonesque hangers on ! .... Good luck Frankie your fans are right behind you !

Frankie, out of interest, who do you rate higher Gomez or Benavidez?

How do you think you would do against them at the moment?

I don't think size is a problem at light welter. I'd be slightly worried about the rumours of welterweight though.

The only worry in his fights at this point is the cuts, apart from that its looked good so far. Long way to go.
